"I booked Jezak through Angi for assembly of two bedside units. Before the appointment, I had sent him the product link and we agreed on a price. He arrived on time, looked at the items and the instructions, then said he didn?t have the necessary tools (a flathead screwdriver, #2 Phillips head screwdriver, and hammer). I told him I had the tools available, but he still left, saying he would return later with his own. After several hours, I reached out to check in ? he said he would be here in about an hour. I called again later, and he told me he would be here in 15?20 minutes. Then, after around 15 minutes, he said he had a flat tire and would call me the next day to schedule a new time. After that, he stopped responding completely. I even had to postpone my appointments that day because he said he would be coming back later, which caused additional inconvenience. I understand that he might have felt the job wasn?t worth the agreed rate, but this in unprofessional."

My wife and I are so pleased with the result. He replaced rotting boards, sanded and caulked, masked, and painted our trim, shutters, door, and shakes. As a comparison, we had our house painted a few years ago by another company and the quality of the workmanship by Keenan is far superior. I wish I had “before” pictures. Bubbles can appear during painting for several reasons, but poor adhesion or trapped moisture are the most common. Painting over dirty, wet, or improperly prepared surfaces leads to air or moisture getting stuck under the paint layer. Using the wrong tools, applying paint too thickly, or working in extreme temperatures and humidity can also cause bubbling. In some cases, incompatible layers of old and new paint types, like latex over oil-based, create tension, leading to blisters and bubbles.

Streaky trim paint can result from several factors, including improper application techniques and insufficient coats. If you use a brush too large or damaged, you’re more likely to get uneven coverage. Using the wrong paint for the surface can also mean it’s not opaque enough to get the right coverage and a smooth finish. Remember to keep drying times in mind if you’re doing multiple coats. Make sure the bottom layer is completely dry before adding another layer. Otherwise, the brush and drag and clump the different paint textures, leading to a streaky, bumpy mess.

While the answer varies based on weather, 10 a.m. is a good time to start painting. The dew will have dried, meaning there’s no moisture on the house, and the temperature will likely be moderate and the sunlight less direct. Starting mid-morning should also give you enough daylight and pleasant weather to work on the job for several hours.

Generally, interior paint takes up to one month to fully cure. Factors like temperature, humidity, the type of paint you used, and the surface you painted over will affect how long it takes. In particularly dry areas, your paint will cure in 30 days, whereas humid locations may take more than a month. While paint may feel dry to the touch in a matter of hours, it takes much longer for it to cure, so be careful around newly painted surfaces within the first 30 days after painting.

For information on how long it will take for paint to dry on a metal roof, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions. Typically it will take a few hours to dry but may need to be left for up to 24 hours to cure fully—but up to 10 days is better yet.
