"The painter sent to perform the work was punctual, pleasant, communicative, prepared, and knowledgeable in his trade. He discussed with me what could be performed in the allotted time and her performed the work diligently. The ceilings turned out well. At one point, he needed to step out for a tool and did not count that against the time I paid for. Great job.

"Sterve arrived on time and immediately went to work.  I estimated the job would take only a couple of hours however, I was quite wrong!  Removing the glass tiles was a very tedious job but Steve never got impatient or upset.  He remained professional and completed the job in approximately three and a half hours, working non-stop the entire time!

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all best tile for a dog shower. Consider your budget, tile durability, aesthetics, and, most importantly, practicality. Avoid tiles your dog will slide around on. Pebbles are a great non-slip option, but are pricey and tricky to install. Glass might look modern, but it’s not scratch-resistant. Small, floor-rated ceramic or porcelain tiles are economical and have many grout lines that make the surface more slip-resistant. Pick a matte finish rather than a shiny tile if you want it to hide stray mud and hairs better.

When choosing tiles for a shower floor, avoid highly porous tile materials, like those with a water absorption rating over 7%. Don’t use non-vitreous tiles, or tiles fired at low temperatures, because they will absorb more water. If you use a highly porous tile in the shower, the tiles can wear down faster, meaning they’ll need to be replaced much sooner.

Tile floor installation usually takes about 16 hours of active work along with a couple of days of drying time between tile and grout applications.

The amount of time it takes your installer will depend on many factors, including the square footage of the space, the tile material type, and if they need to make intricate tile cuts.

Tiling can be DIY with the right tools and skills, but challenges like ensuring evenness and appropriate adhesion often warrant professional handling.

Porcelain countertops have a fairly long life span, sometimes lasting for decades. Depending on how much wear and tear you put your countertops through, it could last 25 to 50 years. But be warned, porcelain is also prone to cracking, so as long as you take good care of it, you’ll have those countertops looking brand new for years to come.
