"Justin and team redid all the electric in a remodel. They installed everything electric including my DYI lights. They were very fun to work with, extremely personable and wanting to make customers happy. No complaints when we ask to do more work then contracted for and did not over charge for work. Highly recommend, great team of people and competitive pricing!!"

"I called two weeks ago to set up an appointment and spoke with Becky. She was professional and very pleasant to talk to. Yesterday, Bill from Leddy's arrived and he was efficient, knowledgeable and left no mess behind. Bill was also professional and we look forward to having him perform all of our electrical needs. A great friend/neighbor, Don, recommended them and I am glad I listened!"

"I called John from Ajax to inspect my furnace as it had been "red
tagged-do not use" by another company and I wanted another opinion from a
local provider.  He was very knowledgeable and professional on the
phone, and came on time.  He thoroughly inspected the furnace, and used a
camera scan to look at the heat exchange that had been diagnosed as
cracked by another H&C company.  He spent close to an hour with me,
told me that there was no crack (hurrah) and also gave other pointers on
what could improve furnace performance.  He did not try to sell me anything and did not charge me for the visit.  He also suggested that if I doubted his diagnosis of  no problem,  that I could call Consumers Energy and have them come out to verify.
Am planning on having him improve some poorly installed duct work,  and will not hesitate to call Ajax for my heating and cooling needs as I have two furnaces and two air conditioners.

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

If you’re deciding between a solar battery versus a generator for the best backup power solution, you can take a few factors into consideration. Solar batteries are quiet while generators can be quite loud. Generators have a lower up-front cost, but they require fuel and ongoing maintenance while solar batteries are more expensive but don’t have many ongoing costs.

Portable generators provide backup power for essential appliances during outages and are easy to relocate.

In some situations, yes. Never try to put biofuel into any home generator without checking the specifics first. If a generator has the ability to run on diesel, it can also run pure biofuel (the clear kind made from seed oils, for example). But if you are using biofuel made from animal fats or vegetable oils, the generator will need significant modifications before it can handle a sludgier type of biofuel.

Setting up utilities on a vacant property usually takes at least a few months, or between 6 weeks to 16 weeks. This process requires working with the local planning and zoning department, hiring a building contractor or engineer to design the utility layout, securing permits, laying the lines, and connecting the utilities.

Generators are usually sized by running watts and starting watts. Ideally, you’ll want a generator that can offer both the necessary running watts and starting watts for everything you need to power without going beyond 90% of its capacity. Calculate your home’s electrical load based on the breakers in your home or adding up the appliance and lighting needs of connected rooms.
