"The remove and the build went fine. Two years later I noticed the wall tilting. One year after that it was worse and I contacted Randy Lewis (owner) and he came out and inspected and agreed that he needed to come back out and excavate and rebuild the top 3 feet of the wall with more "deadmen" reinforcements. It is now 6 months later and despite promises he has not showed up. Soon it will be snowing and freeze the ground."

Wood from black walnut, magnolia, eucalyptus, red maple, and invasive species like tree of heaven are not recommended for mulching. These trees release allelochemicals that can suppress plant growth. Some homeowners, however, use wood from these trees for mulching if it is less potent due to age or concentration, or if the plants are not as sensitive to them.

First, dig a hole that’s the same depth as the root ball and wide enough for the roots to spread out fully. Before placing the tree in the hole, pour water in to help get rid of any air pockets in the soil.

When filling the hole back in, opt for a 1:1 ratio of organic compost with the soil left over from the ground. Do not use potting soil, fertilizer, or chemicals of any kind, as these can stress out and kill your newly planted tree.
