"Winter was comeing in fast and they were here evryday. They worked hard trying to finish before snow. They worked long hours and did a wonderful job finishing the driveway to the specs we requested..They were extremely professional .We were so happy with their work.We hired them to come back in spring and lay a sidewalk and a slab in our back yard. They did what others said couldn't be done due to dropping temperatures. We recommend them for all your concrete work."

"The leveling part itself was awesome. Justin was very detailed in making sure the floor was leveling properly, the gaps were filling in correctly, and that the leveling mixture was mixed appropriately. He showed me all the steps and why they were doing them. The reason I rated them good was because the cleanup could have been much better. They basically just washed out their wheelbarrows with the leftover concrete onto my front lawn. And the one helper spent most of the day wasting my water by spraying down the driveway to allegedly clean it, but it really didn't end up clean at all. Overall, the service that I paid for was to level my garage floor, and that was done professionally and perfectly."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

When planning concrete repair in Flint, factor in the area’s frequent freeze-thaw cycles, which can impact curing and durability. Address drainage concerns and clay-heavy soil with your contractor to prevent future issues. Check if permits are needed for your project, and schedule work between late spring and early fall when weather conditions support optimal concrete setting and long-term results.

Helpful?

Be cautious of concrete repair quotes in Flint that are far lower than others, lack itemized details, or don’t address local freeze-thaw cycles and drainage. Avoid contractors who rush you, refuse to provide written estimates, or can’t explain how they’ll handle Flint’s clay soil. If they don’t offer references, a local address, or discuss proper curing for MI’s climate, consider other options.

Helpful?

Surface cracks, flaking, or joint separation often indicate a need for concrete repair in Flint. If you notice persistent basement moisture, major structural cracks, or repeated settling, you may need a waterproofing specialist or structural assessment. Flint’s clay soil and harsh winters can cause both concrete and foundation issues, so consult multiple professionals if you’re unsure about the best solution.

Helpful?

For Flint homeowners, inspect concrete surfaces each spring for new cracks or drainage issues after the thaw. In summer, clean and monitor for signs of flaking or joint separation. Complete sealing and repairs in fall to prepare for winter’s freeze-thaw cycles. During winter, check for new damage and manage ice buildup. Pay extra attention to areas exposed to salt or heavy moisture.

Helpful?

In Flint, schedule concrete repair right away if you spot wide foundation cracks, tripping hazards, or water leaks, especially before winter arrives. Minor surface cracks or slight settling can often wait until warmer months. Prioritize repairs that affect safety or drainage, and plan to reassess your concrete after winter, since freeze-thaw cycles can rapidly worsen existing damage.
