"This was a smooth and seamless experience. From the quote and estimate to the crew coming to do the waterproofing. Eric was very helpful and informative throughout the process of scheduling and what financing options were available to making sure we prepped everything that we needed to. Deshawn and his crew talked me through what they would be doing and what to expect along the way. He explained the timeline and to expect dust to settle for a couple days so they would leave plastic on all of our items in the basement for us to remove when we were ready. He gave me a walkthrough at the end of each day and a final video explaining everything. The basement looks so good and will be able to be easily finished in the future."

"Salesperson was overconfident and slightly pushy. They had to push back our project over 2 weeks after it was scheduled. They cut down many shrubs and left the mess for us to clean up and dispose of. We were told they would cover all of our belongings prior to starting. They only covered about 1/3 of the items in the basement and everything that wasn't covered was left a mess. The installers did not complete the entire project in the way we were told it would be done. Still waiting for Spring to make sure the basement doesn't leak, may revise my review after ensuring it is truly water proofed."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

The time to install a storm door varies based on who is doing the work and the complexity of the job. Professional installation typically takes a few hours, often between 1 to 2 hours, ensuring a perfect fit. For a DIY project with a standard, pre-hung storm door, you can expect it to take about 3 to 5 hours. However, if the door opening needs to be expanded or significant frame adjustments are required, the installation could take more than a day, in which case hiring a professional is recommended.

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.

Storm doors aren’t necessarily outdated. In fact, there are many benefits to installing a storm door, including improving your home’s energy efficiency, keeping pests out of your house, and protecting your home against the elements. However, storm doors aren’t great if you live in an area with high humidity because the door can trap heat and potentially damage your front door.

Outswing doors are more popular for exterior doors as they offer more room for moving items in and out of a home. And because the hinges are on the outside of the door, they’re more secure against potential break-ins. But, outswing doors are more susceptible to the elements and are more expensive. Comparing inswing vs. outswing doors depends on your budget, needs, and overall preference.

A storm door should be the same size as the front door. Both doors will fit into the same opening on the exterior of the home, so you can expect the storm door to be the same size as the front door. Most doors will be about 32 or 36 inches wide and 75 or 81 inches tall, although you can customize your door sizes.
