"For the money I spent to have them paint my house, and the quality of their work I’d say 2 stars. I am finding more and more spots where they have paint drips, chunks, over spray and spots where they look like they were running out of paint. Most of these spots you can’t see unless you have the lighting just right. Which thankfully you can’t see otherwise. But moving furniture and moving my floor lamps is how I noticed these issues 6 months after the fact. As a new homeowner you live and learn…I will make sure to use a fine toothed comb on anyone I hire from now on."

You can also find premixed brick whitewash paint that cuts out a few steps and lets you get started faster. Yes. If you change your mind at some point in the future, you can paint over your limewash. To get an even coat of paint, you should first prep your surface by cleaning it thoroughly and applying an appropriate primer. Since limewash has a matte finish once it’s dry, you likely don’t even need to sand it first.

Although plastic-sealed paint cans can look tricky, you can open them with adjustable pliers in no time. Grip the plastic seal with the pliers and pull the seal up, moving around the seal until you’ve pried the plastic up in enough spots. Then, you can grab the seal and pop it off the top of the paint can. Depending on the strength of the seal, you may even be able to remove the seal with just your hands by pulling upwards.
