"LeafFilter doesn't clean gutters, they sell and install their LeafFilter Gutter products and only clean the gutters if you buy their product. I can't even begin to afford their product so I wasn't able to get my gutter cleaned by them."

"These guys were awesome. Did an excellent job cleaning our gutters and even did some minor repairs/maintenance, all for a reasonable price. I highly recommend them for gutter cleaning and gutter guards."

"Ryan responded very quickly and was able to do the job the day I contacted him. He did a very thorough job and cleaned up everything as he went so I had to do nothing. He is very friendly and knows his job. I am going to have him back to do some repairs and will use his service to clean the gutters again in the future."

"Jeff is friendly, fast, thorough, and fair. We went from dirty and dammed to clean in no time at all! He provided before and after pics and pointed out any existing trouble spots in his view (areas of compromised roof, to name a few). Highly recommend having him clean and inspect your gutters…so much that we committted to a late fall clean up as well!"

Gutter Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you do end up with frozen gutters, it's important to thaw them correctly. Thawing your gutters slowly is far safer than trying to break apart the ice. Once you get through the ice, bring in a gutter professional to check out the effectiveness of your heated system.

Underground downspouts refer to the sections of downspout extensions that lead away from your home and gutter system. While they cost more than traditional extensions, they can provide several benefits, such as less frequent damage and no need to move them for lawn care tasks. Whether they're worth it or not depends on your budget at installation time and how much convenience they'll add to your situation.

Shingle granules can be cleaned out of gutters using a small scoop or a hose, depending on the quantity of granules and how much other debris is in your gutters. First, clear your gutters of leaves and other debris. This may remove granules in the gutters if they are mixed in with the debris. Use a plastic scoop to remove larger quantities of granules or a hose with a high-powered nozzle for smaller amounts, and collect and dispose of the granules once they’ve been removed.

Properly installed gutters should be able to function normally in heavy rains. Allowing water to overflow can cause water damage around your home's basement or foundation. If the overflow is caused by a simple clog, paying a gutter cleaning cost of $125 to $250 may be enough to get the gutters running clear again. If there's a larger issue, you may need to repair or replace your gutters.

Absolutely—and lots of it. Overflowing water from your gutters can damage your siding and your roof. All of the moisture getting into the cracks and crevices of your home can lead to mold or mildew problems down the line. In addition, when water pools around your home, it needs a place to go—and sometimes it ends up inside the house, creating a very unwanted flood.
