"Out of four companies I contacted, Retrofoam and its salesman, Jeff, understood exactly what I wanted done and the foam insulation I wanted to have installed. The installation team, Jon, Ryan and Forest arrived on time (actually a little early), and the guys were all very polite and professional. The installation was exactly as I expected (great), and I don't have to wear a ski jacket (it's December in Michigan) when I go upstairs and will be comfortable to work on and finish (soon, I hope!). Will definitely recommend Retrofoam!"

"I called for 4 estimates and Chrurch's was the most reasonable. From the home inspection quote to the installation, I never felt I was being worked over. These guys are true pro's, extremely nice and courteous. My attic went from an R-19 to an R-49 and my walls went from nothing to an R-21. There was no mess at all. I have a small 1180 sq/ft home and it only took a 1/2 day. I had this done last July. I really felt a difference over this last winter. I would recommend them to anyone, and I have. They are the best contractors I have ever worked with, start to finish."

"Estimator came on time listened to my wishes, quoted a price I could afford, financed it. Installers were late but called to inform. Did show up, got right to it. Had to install from inside. They kept it neat patched the open holes, cleaned up, and vacuumed. Long day but a good job. I would use them again. Happy customer"

"Stu with 3G came to give and estimate and demonstrated a solid knowledge of the services offered and cost of work. He was able to provide a detailed estimate before he left. The crew was professional, focused, and installed quality work on time. I would use them again anytime and will be recommended if asked."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

There are a range of egress window types available, including:

  • Single-hung: $100–$400

  • Double-hung: $250–$500

  • Horizontal/sliding: $150–$800

  • Casement: $200–$500

  • In-swing: $350–$700

When choosing a type of egress window, consider how you’d like to open it. For example, double-hung egress windows open from top to bottom and let plenty of fresh air in, whereas sliding windows slide open for easy access.

Yes, you can install a bay window in an existing house. You’ll need to have a structural engineer draw up plans to add the necessary support to your exterior load-bearing walls and a general contractor to make the changes to the framing around the new wall opening. This will cost an average of $3,000. After that work is done, a window installer can set the new bay window in place.

You install a window well 8 to 12 inches deeper than the base of the window sill. After filling the well with drainage rock, the well should sit 3 inches below the bottom of the window. The top of the window well should also be at least 3 inches higher than the surface-grade ground. The window well should be about 6 inches wider than the window opening.

Yes, with modifications or the use of adapter kits for tricky placements.

Basements are generally required to have windows for your safety. At a minimum, windows should provide an egress in the event of a fire. But basement windows do more than offer a way out; basement windows also offer natural light and ventilation in an area of your home that is otherwise dark and musty.
