A foam roller or a roller with a very short nap will give you the smoothest finish, especially when working with glossy paints. Thicker rollers will leave a slight texture on the wall, and shiny paint will reflect light, highlighting the imperfections.

There are several pros and cons to brick houses, including the fact that painted brick requires more maintenance than bare brick. For one, you need to repaint the surface every 10 or so years. Washable vinyl wallpapers can stand up to bathroom humidity without peeling, as can semi-gloss or gloss paint finishes. However, if you’re someone who likes to redecorate often, paint may make it easier to change colors or designs more quickly. If you want full humidity protection and cleanability, tile or stone works better.
