I like helping people get those tasks around their houses get FINALLY FINISHED! I can do jobs as big as basic deck building, basic flooring, hanging and leveling cabinets, but I can also paint, sand, landscape, drywall, tutor, coach, encourage, be a project assistant, clean windows and bathrooms, and help with demo before projects start. Not afraid of tight spaces, but I don't love heights. Need a guy for 1 day to help you finish your own handyman job? I'm your guy! Are you a homeowner who just needs a helping hand and a positive attitude to get the stupid chore across the finish line, then I'm your guy. I have a 5x8 trailer so I can pick stuff up for you and drop it off-I even help people move if I can! Plenty of jobs to big, not many that are too small. I am really good at putting things together (IKEA FURNITURE, ANY ONE?), pulling electrical wire, running gas pipe etc. I am good with some light HVAC help too.

I've been honing my craft in the trades since I was old enough to swing a hammer... I always do my best to think outside of the box to problem solve issues and I like to think I'm pretty good at it too.\nI could do just about anything you would need a handyman to do... I've been framing houses and building stages for concerts since about 2015... For that reason my skills are a little too well rounded to specifically list off each and every one.

"It went well. Best part was honesty. Dale told me that we already have few windows tinted and probably don't need to redo it. He gave us honest suggestions and that;s why we will rehire him and suggests other businesses to go to him as well."

"The scheduler called immediately and provided a rough estimate. Set an appointment 2 days later. Co-Owner Susan and team arrived 15 minutes early for the window washing job. I received a final price. I added power washing to the original window cleaning. The service was exceptional. Our house is sparkling clean! Will call them back for yearly window cleaning and power washing."

"Went ok. They came with some tubes of caulk. Basically everything they did I could have done myself for literally less than $20-30 dollars. They don't go up on ladders to caulk higher windows in home. Not even sure what they did in my basement or what they did to improve air leaks throughout the rest of my home. Again. A few tubes of caulk and I could have tackled on my own."

"Bob came out and talked to me about what needed to happen. Didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need and even gave some advice on how the sump pump should be adjusted. Bill and PJ came out to do the actual work. Nice guys and wasted no time getting started. Laid down sheets to protect the hardwood floor in the foyer as they came in and out. Bill went above and beyond fixing the rod holes and the sealed cracks look like they'll hold forever. The outside sump discharge line looks great and I now have a clean-out for any future maintenance. Not much in the way of rain lately so won't know if everything sealed until then, but 4-Ever gives a lifetime guarantee so I'm not too worried. What I did learn with this project is that I have an entire wall of rod holes that aren't leaking bad yet, but do show sign of water leakage and will need to be fixed. Once I get the energy, I will tear out all the drywall and not hesitate to call Bob again to have his guys come out and do the rest of the rod holes."

Window Shutter Repair questions, answered by experts

Estate shutters offer more energy efficiency, privacy, and light control than blinds. They provide better insulation against heat and cold, lowering your energy bills. They’re also sturdy, durable, and last much longer than blinds (up to 50 years or longer). They’re also low-maintenance and can add curb appeal to your home. The return on investment (ROI) for estate shutters is around 75%.

Not all windows are suitable for shutters, as certain styles can prevent them from functioning correctly. It's best to avoid installing shutters on bay windows, picture windows, dormer windows, and double-mulled windows. Shutters are better suited for large, full-size standard windows or French doors.

Additionally, consider the room's lighting needs. Since shutters effectively block light, they are an excellent choice for rooms where you want more darkness and privacy, such as a master bedroom or a main living room. For window types that are not ideal for functional shutters, some homeowners choose to install fixed (non-functional) shutters to maintain a consistent look across the home.

The most popular estate shutter brands include Hunter Douglas, Budget Blinds®, and Graber®. Hunter Douglas shutters cost $20 to $26 per square foot and include high-quality hardwood and faux wood options. Budget Blinds shutters cost $20 to $24 per square foot, depending on if you choose natural wood or another material. Depending on the material, Graber shutters range from $18 to $24 per square foot.

Plantation shutters cost an average of $2,990, making them one of the pricier shutter options. However, they offer a 75% return on your investment and are great options for boosting curb appeal and property value. Most people go for plantation shutters for their timeless, vintage look. They also provide the strongest light blocking and temperature control for your home.

Wood is the most classic shutter material. Common options include pine, cedar, or brasswood. MDF shutters are also a more affordable option that retains the timeless, classic look. Composite shutters, mainly vinyl and aluminum shutters, have also become more popular over the years. You may also find steel shutters, sometimes referred to as security shutters, used on the exterior. Shutters also come in various colors and finishes, adding another layer of design flexibility.
