Owner never came out to look at what his employees call a finished job. I was quoted by Dennis $56 a foot in the basement and when I got upstairs it was actually $59, red flag. I was quoted and designed a system and they installed another. Look at pics and you decide if you want to hire these hacks and liars. One other thing the workers mixed the Qiukrete next to my furnace that was running and the whole house was filled with concrete dust."

Yes, expanding foam (also known as polyurethane foam) can lift concrete. This approach, called polyjacking, involves injecting the foam rather than concrete slurry to fill voids and raise the concrete slab back into place. It’s often faster and requires smaller drill holes than traditional mudjacking, though it may come at a higher cost. There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. The typical cost to fix a sinking portion of concrete slab with mudjacking is around $1,100. The price you’ll pay depends on the size of the concrete slab you need to be leveled, the accessibility of the slab, and the type of material your contractor uses beneath the concrete to lift it back into place.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be good solutions to sinking concrete, depending on your situation. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam to lift concrete, is a better option than mudjacking because the foam weighs less and won’t contribute to additional sinking. Polyjacking can be a suitable solution for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is normally only a good option for non-structural concrete, like sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and concrete driveways. However, polyjacking costs much more—as much as $25 per square foot, compared to the maximum of $6 per square foot you’d pay for mudjacking.
