"LivingSpace Detroit could not have been a better contractor and partner on the addition of our Four Seasons Room. The appearance of the room is far superior to competitors, in my opinion. Specifically, the clean look of the fiberglass and composite construction eliminates face screws, improves the glass to solid ratio, and vastly improves the insulation quality, while offering choices of color that is inherent to the material and not painted on. The contracting and engineering teams are polite, professional and knowledgeable. In our installation, we cooperated on the installation, permit, and building inspection and did so seamlessly. In my opinion, they are a superior contractor, with a superior product."

"Windows are good. Work was sloppy. Still finding shards of glass on the floor and the furniture a week after completion. Caulking looks like a third grader did it- including caulking the screen door to the frame. For this type of investment, they should act like professionals."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is possible to replace only the glass pane in a window without replacing the entire frame. However, this is a complex task that is best handled by a window repair professional. A technician can safely cut the seal, remove the old glass, install the new pane, and ensure it is properly sealed. For double-pane windows, this process involves creating a vacuum between the panes and filling it with insulative gas to restore the window's energy efficiency. Hiring a professional also ensures you select the right type of glass for your needs. This repair is almost always more affordable than replacing the entire window and frame.

Recycled glass is a durable and sustainable countertop material that lends a unique look to any kitchen or bathroom. Whether or not it’s the right choice for your home hinges on your design preferences and budget. However, for many, it’s an excellent option to make your kitchen stand out if you don’t want to go with an option like quartz or quartzite.

Replacing a glass pane is much less expensive than replacing your entire window. The average person will pay between $180 and $400 to replace a glass window pane. This price can vary based on a ton of factors, including labor costs in your area, special window treatments, and the number of panes on your window.

Whether it's better to repair or replace a broken mirror depends on its size, value, and the extent of the damage. For small, inexpensive mirrors, replacement is often the better choice, as the average repair cost of around $200 can be close to the price of a new one. However, for large mirrors—like those over a bathroom vanity or large floor mirrors—repair is usually more cost-effective. A new large mirror can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, while repairs typically range from $50 to $200. You should also consider the mirror's age and sentimental value. Antique mirrors and family heirlooms are often priceless and irreplaceable, making repair the most sensible or only option.

Yes, you can hire someone to hang a mirror in your home if you’re unable to tackle the job yourself. You can search for nearby mirror installers, but often, your best bet is a local handyperson. If you’re having other work done in the same room, such as plumbing, drywall, or electrical, those contractors are likely able to help hang the mirror as well—no need to hire someone else.
