"It was a pleasure to work with John. He has the highest work standards that I have seen in any builder. This job was a tough addition project. I had a two stall garage, Laundry & sewing room, an egress window installed in the basement and a 4 foot extension onto my living room done. He managed the project from beginning to end and gave us advise if we needed it. My daughter and I really are enjoying the finished project. We will definitely use him again."

"He appeared to be disorganized in his business practices. After 5 days, I had not heard from him so I called him. He was unable to come inspect what was needed until the next week, which was OK. Work started the following week. He was suppose to start on Wednesday, and when he didn't show up by noon, I called him. He stated he had worked late the night before and forgot to call me.
The overall work was good but the "finishing" touches were sloppy. Trim was placed on the inside of the folding linen closet door, so the door would not close. The metal trim between the new floor, and the adjoining carpeting was the wrong type. The bathroom vanity is set on a bare wooden platform, and had been covered with carpeting. He did not cover, as I would have thought, with extra flooring material. When I mentioned it looked unfinished, he dismissed me.
The overall work was good but I'm not sure I would hire him again.

We are a remodeling company specializing in the residential market. Weatherhead and Sons has 12 employees and does use some sub-contractors. 2015 will be our 25th year in business.

"Vanderhyde has done work for me at my previous and my current home. They ran new pipes ($3000) and performed a furnace tune up at my previous home. In my current home, they upgraded my electrical service ($1600) when I bought the house.  I called them at a later date to add lighting and outlets in my garage ($400). They were always professional. The work they did was quality work. They are also very quick to respond.
The only thing I feel could improve is their pricing. I would call the prices fair, but that are higher than others. I have reached out to other service providers becuse the other providers charge less.

"The toilet needed to be replaced. I was told that I would only get the builder standard grade toilet even though I was signed up with the highest plan. The plumber was replaced my toilet with something that was definitely builder grade and not even close to what I had. I called CHOICE and they told me that it should have been replaced with something comparable to what I had. Twice they told me they were going to have my claim looked at and I have not received a call about it or any new information. The new toilet is wrong in size and specs and doesn't fit well where it is in the bathroom."
