"Always a few complaints on a big job. A few broken pictures that were knocked off the walls, and they did not bring their own ladders to reach on the stairway. Otherwise I am very please with my new carpeting."

"Matt provided cost up front based on number of rooms and stairs carpeted and to be cleaned. I was surprised on the cost provided, as I was expecting it to be more. Very professional in their work ethic and conduct. Went to extra measures to protect corners and edges from rubbing by the steam hoses. Would use them again for our carpet or floor cleaning."

"Tony did a great job of removing the carpet from my fireplace hearth and installing it around the hearth. He also stretched and tacked down the carpet in front of the sliding glass doors. Price was exactly what he quoted. What more could you ask for."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

It is normal to glue carpet down, though it’s not the only or the most popular method of installing carpet. Modern techniques include tack strips and stretching the carpet, but you might still find glued carpet in older homes or a home with a DIY’d past. Removing a glued-down carpet will be harder compared to other methods of installation.

When deciding whether to repair or replace your carpet, consider its age, the extent of the damage, and its location. It's often best to replace the entire carpet if the damage is extensive, such as large sections needing replacement, or if it's caused by water, which can lead to mold problems. Similarly, if your carpet is nearing a decade old, replacement is likely the more logical choice. On the other hand, consider repairing your carpet if the damage is localized to one spot, like minor rips or snags, the carpet is still relatively new, or the damage is in a low-traffic area of your home.

When installing carpeting on your steps, start at the top and work your way to the bottom. That way, you can easily control the carpet and create a better seal. This approach prevents the carpet from bunching up or creating wrinkles as you work. You’ll have better leverage over it as gravity helps guide it down each step.

Most projects take 1-3 days, depending on space size and complexity.

Carpet tiles come with a preexisting adhesive backing, which means installing them is as simple as peeling off the paper and sticking them down where they need to go. In other words, no. You won’t need to purchase any separate glue to get your carpet squares situated. It’s already built into the carpet tile itself.
