"We had a leaky sprinkler system that we could not use. My husband is just too old to work on it because of his bad knees and feet. Mo came out and figured it all out and it’s running beautifully now and at a reasonable price as well. I want him to come back and try and run a line through my back 40 that the previous owner hacked through and rendered useless. He also does garden lighting. The prospect is very exciting. Super nice guy and he knows what he’s doing. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾"

"Colette did a wonderful job collecting our ideas and coming up with solutions that fit our style and budget. She offered different ideas that we could pick from. We had a few shipments that came damaged from the distributors warehouse and she handled them immediately for us."

"It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."

Small jobs welcome

"I initially met and worked with Scott on our extensive home renovation. He was our project coordinator as well as a creative and talented carpenter and all around skilled handyman. There really wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. Scott was great at repurposing our materials and coming up with thoughtful solutions. From new walls, ceilings, hardwood floors, bathrooms, new exterior deck, and custom bunks…Scott did it all. As an interior decorator, and knowing Scott’s talents, I pulled him in to work on a large client job. Again, his project management skills along with carpentry talents, really brought the project to life. Custom lighted wood walls, adult bunk room and amazing golf/pub room were just the highlights. Scott always left the job site clean and organized and his client communication is unsurpassed. He was always positive and proactive. There is no one I would rather work with. "Ryan is very professional, arrived on time, and completed the job as quickly as possible allowing for drying time, etc. He takes great care to protect your home from dust. The finished ceiling looked better than it did before it was damaged. Very pleased with his work."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

A motion detector light may need to be reset due to a number of technical issues. These can include faulty or misadjusted sensors and burned-out bulbs. You may also need to reset a motion sensor after an electrical surge or a power outage, as these can change a light’s settings and cause it to function differently.

Yes! As a matter of fact, there are many sensors that add motion to existing outdoor lights. These motion sensors attach to pre-existing flood lights and other outdoor lights without any fussy and potentially dangerous electrical work. Additionally, some flood lights and related fixtures ship with motion sensors built-in.

The easiest and best way to power your outdoor lights is with the use of outdoor outlets. Most building codes now require exterior outlets in homes, so you likely already have outdoor outlets available to plug into. However, you can have these outlets installed if your space doesn’t currently include them.

Costs depend on system type, issue severity, and labor rates.

High-quality landscape lights that are hardwired and properly maintained can last for 10 to 25 years or more. You’ll usually get a longer lifespan from soffit lights and wall-mounted lights that aren’t directly exposed to the elements or prone to damage from foot traffic or vehicle traffic. Solar-powered and battery-powered lights often won’t last as long, but you can still expect a lifespan of five to 15 years.
