"Needed a chimney repair due to leaking into our garage and Aiden contacted us very quickly to give us a quote. Aiden was very interested in helping us fix the chimney leak and communication was great during our initial conversation. The team of two quickly accessed where the leak was coming from and repaired the top of the chimney and sealed around the flashing and a few other spots on the roof that needed attention. Aiden sent before and after pics to me while I was at work and he communicated clearly to my mother and was very respectful and explained everything that they did on the roof. Aiden also followed up with me personally to see if any leaks had occurred since the repair. None have occurred which is great! Highly recommend DNL Commercial Roofing Company for any repairs needed on any type of roof."

"We cannot recommend Skyler Jackson Interiors enough. When our bathroom flooded and had to be completely gutted down to the studs, Skyler was there every step of the way. He was quick to respond, professional throughout the entire process, and very reasonably priced for the quality of work provided. What could have been an incredibly stressful experience was made so much easier because of Skyler’s communication, reliability, and attention to detail. We truly appreciated having someone we could trust guiding us through the remodel from start the start! Thank you for all you do, Skyler — your hard work and dedication absolutely did not go unnoticed!"

I’m 36 year old, have been doing mainly industrial maintenance the past 6 years or so. Love fixing and putting together all kinds of different things. Not as experienced with home improvements but I have done my fair share, and am never afraid to take on a challenge. I can say that no matter what you throw at me, I will find a way to complete the job and make sure the customer is satisfied.

Mailbox Repair questions, answered by experts

Wood putty is made with a plastic adhesive, while wood filler is made from sawdust or wood products. The primary difference is their application: wood filler is used to repair the interior portions of wood, whereas wood putty is best for exterior sections because it contains chemicals that could damage the inside of the wood. If a crack or hole goes into the middle of the lumber, wood filler is the correct product for the job.

Repairing furniture is cost-effective, and it's a great way to preserve sentimental pieces, while also reducing environmental impact.

Regularly check and tighten screws, avoid excessive weight, and clean surfaces with appropriate materials to prevent damage.

Yes, in most cases it’s a good idea to wrap furniture in plastic to protect it from dirt, dust, and damage during storage. However, natural and porous materials such as wood or leather should have breathable fabric covers to prevent moisture damage from condensation. Either way, it’s always important to ensure proper ventilation to prevent moisture buildup, especially in humid climates.

The cost to repair leather furniture typically ranges from $100 to $400, with an average of around $250. A minor repair, such as a small scratch or tear, may cost between $100 and $150. However, larger, more complex repairs, including total reupholstery, can cost $4,000 or more. The final price depends on several factors, including the type of repair, the extent of the damage, the quality of the leather, the furniture's build and maintenance level, and whether additional repairs are needed for the structure or padding. A leather repair specialist can provide a precise estimate based on your specific project.
