"A sudden ice storm left a thick sheet of ice on our driveway--big trouble. We found this company via Home Advisor, called them last night, and he came right over!! He was very pleasant, did an excellent job, and his fee was reasonable. This was a great experience."

Small jobs welcome

"Trevor is very professional, friendly, and a hard worker. We had a small landscaping job but have asked him to give us a quote on another project for next spring. Good pricing, very thorough work. We're pleased."

"We just had our back lawn completely tilled up and replanted.  They did not do that service but did continue the weed and feed on the front and later when the grass came up in the back.  The lawn looks great.  This is my 2nd season with Lush Lawn and I am very pleased with their service.  I would definitely recommend them.

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

Herbicides containing a combination of the active chemical ingredients dicamba, fluroxpyr, and quinclorac are most effective at purging your turf of white clover. However, for small home lawns, organic prevention and control can be very effective methods for killing clover weeds and save you from using harmful pesticides that might damage your lawn.

Johnsongrass and crabgrass are invasive weeds that can overtake your lawn. Crabgrass is a low-growing grass most often seen in lawns, flower beds, and vegetable gardens. While you may find Johnsongrass growing in your lawn, it will also grow in pastures, crop fields, and the edge of the road. Johnsongrass is much coarser than crabgrass. If left alone, Johnsongrass can grow up to 8 feet tall.

Yes, Johnsongrass is a hard weed to kill. It has the ability to grow fast and spread even quicker, so it requires a detailed plan and thorough application to eliminate it. The best plan of action is to kill Johnsongrass while the weed is establishing itself by hiring a lawn care professional or following the steps above.

Yellow leaves and stems on your sprouts indicate they’re not getting enough light. Keep them near the appropriate light source and give them as much as they need (they require longer exposure to fluorescence than they do to natural light sources).

The safest method to avoid killing your turf grass is hand pulling Johnsongrass. You can also apply vinegar for a safer herbicide, but it will still burn your lawn if it gets on it.
