"It’s not often you get to write two good reviews in one year! J-Goods replaced our boiler at the start of the year. They werefast and efficient and reasonably priced. We had a few teething issues and problems and I nearly lost the faith, so when I woke up this morning with no heat at all I was at my wits end. Jon responded immediately to my somewhat emotional voice message and had a senior tech at the house in less than an hour. He found the problem (manufacturer hadn’t tightened a valve and water and electrics don’t mix) grabbed the part and fixed it within a couple of hours. All under warranty and no charge. It’s impossible to say how grateful I am without getting emotional again! :D Thank you to the team at J Goods. I highly recommend them."

"Old sump had fried without our knowledge and basement acquired water. Had NO clue on how to replace/reinstall the replacement pump we purchased or hook it up, so we called Dependable. Set up appt for that day, they called back within 2 hours to confirm that their tech Jeremy was on his way. Professional, prompt response, courteous, and took the time to explain the sump system and preventative measures we should take in the future. You may not need a hammer drill if you’re planning on drilling one or two very small diameter holes in brick. For holes with a diameter of 3/16-inch or less, a regular drill with a masonry bit can do the job. However, the bit will heat up quickly, and the process will take significantly longer than with a hammer drill. Prepare to cool your drill bit down in a bucket of water more often.

You can turn a red brick white through a process called whitewashing. Whitewash isn’t a stain but rather is made from water and white latex paint. Adding more water to the mix will make the solution look lighter when applied, and adding more paint will make it look more white.

You can use adhesive strips to hang lights on brick—just make sure you get outdoor mounting tape and not just any old double-sided tape for your project.
