"While the service was completed in a timely manner, the cost of installation and services was not near the original estimate. In addition, it appears that the installer took advantage of my wife's naivete and sold her additional products that were not necessary. While she is an adult and capable of making decisions, her lack of knowledge about electrical matters led her to purchase electrical outlets for 3 bathrooms costing a total of $225 that were not needed. In addition, the price for a simple bath fan was extremely high ($250) and had we known in advance the price would have been that high, we would have purchased our own fan at a significant savings from Home Depot or Lowe's (the same model sells at those stores for approximately $75)."

"Gammon's attempted to install a new propane boiler for me. The job took nearly a year after several complaints about boiler malfunctioning/shutting down (in the middle of winter), over heating, water leaks and even a significant propane leak, costing me hundreds of dollars in leaking propane! They signed off on the job with several connections leaking propane. They left many things undone and not to code. I had to get the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation Maine Fuel Board involved with a inspection (which was very helpful) for them to come back out and address the issues. The owner never answered any of my e-mails/calls about these issues (even the concern about LEAKING PROPANE). I still have a thermostat that isn't working correctly and have just had to leave it off. I placed a complaint with the Maine Attorney General and yet have come to a resolution. I will say that the office staff was very helpful and pleasant. Read less"
