Sealing your driveway gives it the longest possible lifespan. You’ll reduce your driveway’s risk of cracking, breaking down from exposure to UV light, discoloring, and staining from road chemicals.

Asphalt is made of aggregate materials (sand, rocks, and gravel) and bitumen, a viscous, petroleum-based, waterproof substance. These materials are mixed together at extremely high temperatures to form asphalt.

Yes. If the instructions on the label tell you to wait 24 hours, you should wait for the full amount of time before continuing on with the rest of your project (or showing and bathing if you caulked in your bathroom). If you don’t give caulk time to fully dry, it may not cure or adhere correctly. In that case, you’ll be replacing that new caulk a lot sooner than you want to.  

Most sealing projects take 1-2 days, including drying time before allowing traffic.

If you don’t want to seal the entire driveway using a squeegee, you can use a roller instead. Rolling the driveway sealer also provides an even, sufficient coating, although it might require more skills to control the speed and pressure. We don’t recommend spraying the driveway sealer because it would cause more splash, hence wasting more material. If anything, you may spray the sealant and go over the surface again with a squeegee to ensure proper coating.
