"Dori emailed me to set up an appointment and Nicholas arrived promptly. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He replaced our radon pump and rewired the whole unit. He also left us with a mail in radon test to complete to ensure that our levels are safe. He also agreed to come back and adjust the angle of the vent which was touching the siding of our house. I would highly recommend this service."

"George and his team were extremely friendly and professional. This is a good group of people. Courteous and thoughtful, they were able to do a complete installation of both systems from scratch in about 6 hours.
The new radon remediation system (Bubble Up) has the added benefit of boosting the fixture pressure in the house to city level or better (60-75psi) as well as completely resolving the pH level of the water.
The cost was slightly lower than the other two quotes we received, partially due to the fact that Absolute offered a "multi-system" discount since two systems were going in at the same time.
If in your service area, I would highly recommend George Doumit of Absolute Water System.

"I have worked with many contractors, plumbers, electricians, etc. in my time owning two homes. On here in New England and the other in Pembroke Pines,FL. These gentlemen from rhino radon services were deffinelty personable and proffesional I felt like my home was in good hands with this company. After calling around and having a job scheduled with another mitigation company I was blown off and left with a short deadline. Luckily after speaking with Henri from rhino radon they were able to squeeze me right in your schedule the very next day even though they had two other jobs scheduled they showed up at 5pm and still completed the job to ensure I met my closing date, if your looking for a standout and accommodating radon company I would say look no farther then rhino radon. I was very pleased with the service I recieved. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

"Bill and his team are wonderful. They do a thorough inspection to uncover issues. They've saved us from buying a house that would not be the right fit for us. They also let us know what we need to do to keep the house we live in now in good condition. They are not the cheapest option, but of course you pay more for quality, experience, and knowledge. They also offer different options so you can customize your inspection. We have used the thermal camera option, the radon option, and sewer options for the inspection so that we can learn as much as we can about the condition of the house. Very happy with Bill and his team and would definitely use them again."

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

Use a radon test kit or hire professionals to conduct a detailed assessment of radon levels in your home.

Radon is present almost everywhere but, like sunlight, the concentration levels and how often you are exposed to it have a large part to play in just how dangerous it is. There are levels of radon that are acceptable inside a house, but above a certain limit, radon becomes a serious radioactive hazard that is a known cause of lung cancer. In fact, radon exposure is the number two leading cause of lung cancer (after smoking).

If your home has a sump pit, you can integrate it with a radon mitigation system. You can accomplish this by sealing the pump cover with an airtight lid that accommodates radon vent pipes and sump pump hoses. This allows the vent pipe to redirect the radon gas outside of your home.

While DIY testing is possible, abatement generally requires professional installation to ensure efficacy and meet safety standards.

The soil beneath your house is most likely what’s causing an increased level of radon. This is because soil holds radioactivity for a long time and it’s also what most buildings are built on. Another common source of radon is water from a source that hasn’t been through periodic radon tests, such as well water. Over time, the radon from the soil can inhabit other parts of your house like the foundation or plumbing.
