There were 3 professionals, starting at one end of the house and methodically worked their way thru. They brought all  needed supplies/mop/bucket/vacuum to get the job done.  I was pleased to see all they accomplished in a short time.  Two of the rooms were very dusty, to what I thought was to a "point of no return"(or at least for me to accomplish).    The rooms were dust free and clean.  There were piles of magazines/books that were disorderly and was left in a neat pile.

I would use this business again.  They are not afraid of dirt.

If there is only a small amount of gum, it’s entirely possible to remove it on your own. What you’re unable to pick or scrape off, try to scrub out with warm soapy water. You can try freezing the garment and removing the hardened gum. Some swear by rubbing peanut butter on the gum before washing. No matter which method you choose, do not put your clothing in the dryer until the gum is 100 percent removed. 

If your carpet is 15 years old and has yet to be cleaned regularly (every year or two), then you may need to replace the carpet. Wear patterns, stains, and dirt that has filtered into the carpet may not come out if it isn’t maintained properly. However, a professional carpet cleaner will test clean a small area or room to see if cleaning will give your carpet another couple of years of life. Otherwise, your best option may be to replace the carpet.

Steam and vinegar are excellent cleaners, but it’s best not to put vinegar in your steam cleaner unless explicitly approved by the manufacturer.
