"I was totally awestruck by Mike's professionalism, knowledge and honesty. He was able to reassure me that my used computer is in tip top shape and has more memory then I even imagined. He was able to remotely get into my computer to check it out since he is in Arizona and I am in Oklahoma. Normally I would not have allowed this-but thanks to Mikes many tremendous reviews and A Grade I trusted him and do not regret it. In my opinion he deserves an A++! It's been 20 years since I have owned a desktop computer and I'm obviously not tech savvy! Mike did not take advantage of that and was even kind enough to share some info with me free of charge. I have already opened a file (in my filing account with his name on it)! I am making a list of things for him to help me with and will definitely be back in touch with him. I highly recommend Mike's company to anyone looking for an honest, reputable computer repair person."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"Chip was punctual and pleasant. It took him less then 10 minutes to figure out what was wrong with the unit. It had a hidden fan that was inundated with tons of cat hair and other stuff. Since it was on the bottom of the case and hidden from view by other parts, we did not even check that location on our own.Once it was cleaned out by Chip it worked wonderfully. 14 hours after he left the unit was still on working beautifully. In the weeks since his visit, the desktop has no further issues. He did charge us his transportation/visit charge, but did not charge us anything additional fees. If we have further computer issues, I would not hesitate to contact Chip and have him come back to have him assist us."

Computer Repair questions, answered by experts

While a computer repair won't directly raise your home's appraisal value, it significantly boosts resale appeal in the Gorham market. With many residents working remotely, a reliable computer setup is a key feature. It demonstrates a well-maintained home and supports modern expectations for remote work and education, which is valuable for families within Gorham's school district and community.

Helpful?

For handling computer repair projects in Gorham, you should keep essential supplies on hand since tech centers are a drive away. A UPS battery backup and surge protectors are critical for the area's variable power grid. Also, have compressed air for dust from the rural environment, an external hard drive for backups, and a basic toolkit with precision screwdrivers.

Helpful?

In Gorham, ME, intermittent freezing or random restarts are serious warnings. These often signal failing hardware like a motherboard, which can be worsened by power fluctuations common in rural areas. Unusual fan noise also indicates a problem, as dust from Gorham's environment can clog cooling systems and lead to overheating, potentially causing a complete hardware failure if not addressed promptly.

Helpful?

After a computer repair, it's vital to schedule regular cleanings every few months to combat dust from Gorham's rural roads. You should also create a reliable backup system, as local data recovery options are limited. Monitor your computer’s temperature performance during Maine's extreme seasonal shifts and plan for any needed maintenance before winter makes travel to repair shops more difficult.

Helpful?

Everyday habits in Gorham can shorten the life of a computer repair. Leaving devices in unheated spaces during cold Maine winters causes component damage. Neglecting to clean out dust from the rural environment leads to overheating, especially in humid summers. Using your computer during power fluctuations, which are common in the area, can also damage recently repaired components and undo the work.
