"On June 7th 2015 I made the initial call to Canyon Springs to inquire about having a new landscaping design created for my front yard.  This was a Sunday and I was blown away that Ryan was willing to come out and assist me with a free onsite consultation within hours of my call.  He stated that he would get right to work on creating and designing using 3D imaging software which I was very excited about.  My brother had refereed me to Canyon Springs  based on there design capabilities and when Ryan met back up with me a week late with the design her truly exceeded my expectations.  A few days later Ryan and his team got started installing my design and approximately 2 weeks later the design was completed.  I am very pleased with the finished product and since then have had hired Canyon Springs for snow removal this year.  They are always prompt, professional and I recommend there services to all my friends and family.

"Prior to starting the job, Dig Safe was notified and scheduled a survey of vital areas on the property.
Day 1 started with the removal of the plastic edging and flag placement for all sprinkler zones.
The next day the garbage was removed from site and there was a wait until Dig Safe survey was completed.
In the weeks to follow, Excavation was conducted in a logical way as to minimize large machinery travel over the lawn.
My immaculate lawn was pretty much destroyed and Rick assured my that it will return to normal.
I want to note that at the end of there work day the work areas were cleaned up and areas that were potentially hazardous were roped off with yellow tape.
The patio was the first to be completed, followed by parts of the house perimeter sailor border then the pool perimeter border.
The front steps were brought in next and they encountered issues with the Granite pieces. Gagne and Sons were quick in the response of getting replacement pieces the next day.
Finally, the asphalt driveway was removed and the excavation had begun.
With the Driveway installation completed, They tied in all the sailor border areas that were not yet completed and focused on lawn repair.
The Lawn repair was also coordinated with irrigation relocation and repair. This was a little frustrating due to the scheduling difficulties. I have to say the Ronnie of Casco Bay Irrigation worked several weekend days to get things ready between different stages of the project.
I am quite pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Organics Lawn And Landscape to anyone.

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Yes, natural pools can get algae since they use the same filtration processes as lakes or streams. However, you can reduce the risk of algae by adding more algae-fighting plants and not installing your natural swimming pool in direct sunlight, as it promotes algae growth.

Yes, it is possible to make a fountain without a pump, though it may seem less intuitive and will require a bit more effort to use. In lieu of an electric pump, there are a few options including hand-cranked pumps or sprinkler systems that can work to provide water for a fountain.

Algae growth is a common issue for misters, but you can do several things to prevent it. First, use a sealed water tank with distilled or filtered water to fuel your misters. Second, blow out the misters after every use so no water is left in the tubing. Third, thoroughly clean the misting system every several weeks of use at minimum during the warmest months. Third, wherever possible positioning tubing and the water tank away from direct sunlight and in the coolest areas possible.

In addition to length and width, pond liners also come in various thickness levels. Thickness is measured in mils, a unit of measurement equal to one-thousandth of an inch, with most pond liners ranging from 15 to 60 mils in thickness. The smaller the number, the thinner (and weaker) the liner. To prevent rips and tears, it’s best to choose a pond liner that’s at least 30 mils thick.

After you fill in your pool, you can add trees and plants that help stabilize the soil. You might decide not to fill it in at all and find another use for the sunken area instead. A few ideas include creating a seating area or garden inside the empty pool. Depending on its size, you could create a place to roller-skate or install basketball hoops for an unconventional court.
