"We used this builder on the advice of another contractor. We are so disappointed. The simplest thing - putting composite decking down - was a disaster because they used the wrong screws (photo attached)! Our warranty is void now, but there's more! I was unable to upload all of the photos, but there is so much wrong I can't list it all here. The railings were put up wrong. The deck - even after three corrections - is still not straight to the house and so the steps are "crooked" to the patio. Because the composite boards have been reused three times now, we have holes with no screws (photo attached). He used 2x8s on the frame, but 2x6 joists - and when we asked where the joist hangers were - he added 2x4 hangers. On the screen porch roof we had to ask for gutters and when they were installed they were too short on both sides - so he stuck a piece of bent flashing under the shingles to "redirect" the rest of the water (photos attached). The entire project has been a nightmare and it's not over yet. Please do not EVER use this guy. I have no clue how he got a license.... and the best part? He put the WRONG license number on the contract!"

We are a long established dealer of Invisible Fence Brand Pet Fences. We have over 11,000 customers in our dealership area. We have multiple service trucks and technicians to provide high quality and fast service. We are the largest dealer in Maryland. Additional phone number - (410) 721-7799.

"Couldn't be happier having my 2 large dogs contained. Nicole really helpful in explaining options - not pushy, just fun and informative. Rick VanBlargan installed the fence and trained me and the dogs. Super helpful and not condescending concerning my lack of technical understanding or my lack of dog training abilities. I am really pleased."

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

One of the best features of composite fences is their long lifespan. You can expect your composite fence to last 20 to 30 years. It lasts long because it consists of recycled plastic and wood fibers. The plastic offers durability that wood alone can’t provide. It’s mold- and rot-resistant, as well as weather-resistant.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly fence material, corrugated metal could be the answer. Metal fences cost about $7 to $32 per foot. Aluminum corrugated metal tends to be less expensive than steel. Both options are similar in cost to wood, so, depending on the type of wood you are considering, corrugated metal could be better for your budget.

The best way to protect your pets from coyotes is to ensure they are always supervised when outside, especially during dawn and dusk when coyotes are the most active. When walking your dog, keep it on a short leash and carry something noisy you can use to haze any coyotes you may encounter.

The depth of the fence posts depends on the height of your fence. If you’re installing a 6-foot fence, then digging 2-foot-deep holes for the fence posts will help ensure a secure installation. However, if you’re installing an 8-foot fence, the posts will need to be deeper than 2 feet to support the structure properly. Also, consider how far apart the fence posts should be to provide adequate support.

The depth of your post hole depends on your post length. If you decide on a two-rail fence, the posts are likely 6 feet long. You want your hole to be at least 1/3 of the post length. In this case, your post hole should be two feet deep.

If you opt for a three-rail fence, the posts will typically be 7 feet long, meaning your post hole should be 28 inches deep.
