John did a wonderful job of assessing my options, scoping the project, and then scheduling it. Guillermo got the project started and the team finished the work in one day. I was there to observe, and noted that they did the work carefully and skillfully. The result is a well-built, strong and also beautiful fence. The trellis that was done is a work of carpentry, and also strong and yet aesthetically pleasing.
To add to all of this, the team was friendly and professional, and a pleasure to have working at my home.
Gate looks better than expected. We were allowed to make last minute changes to the look of the fence with no issues and a new quote was given quickly. Installation was much quicker than anticipated as they were able to get the materials in just a few days. Pyle also quoted us almost $1,000 less than another local fencing company for the same type of gate (same materials and manufacturer too), and installation. Would definitely recommend and use them again in the future.
My only complaint is that the salesperson was insistent that we did not need a building permit for the job and, after a call to the City permit office, we found out that in fact we did. He originally offered to pull the permit for us and then was told by the company owner that he could not do that for us. We spent a morning at the permit office getting the proper permit for the fence. It was not an issue but we wanted to make sure we had one and was doing the job legally.
Overall, we had a very good experience with Pyle Fence.
When the workers arrived, they knew exactly what to do, did it quickly and cleaned up afterward. There weren't any piles of dirt that I had to move later after they dug new holes for the posts. The first fence co. we hired a year ago left such a mess with all the leftover dirt that I had to clean it all up or it would have killed the grass in the yard. I had the first fence co. give us a quote on moving the one fence line of 55' and they were twice the price of Pyle Fence, even though they were the original installers. Plus the first fence guy told us he may not be able to move the fence after it had warped just after being installed a year ago. That was not true, as Pyle Fence moved all of it and said it was all good wood, which it was. Fence looks great, they were professionals who knew what they were doing. We have dogs so we wanted to be sure the fence line could be moved in one day or the dogs wouldn't be able to have access to the yard. They guaranteed it would be done in a day and it was, whereas other fence companies told us it would take two days to do the entire job.
We would definitely hire them again as they are the only fence company we will use from now on.
The work was done efficiently and the quality is wonderful. The man who headed up the install was very professional and responsive. I was disappointed that the salesman did not follow-up to see how it went, since he said that was his plan.
Overall, the workmanship and installation was great. The salesmanship was disappointing.
The man who did the work (different from the salesperson) was very professional and did a nice job, and we are pleased with the fence. So all in all we are happy, except Pyle gets a few points off for promising a shorter turnaround time than they delivered. (If they had called *us* and told us they were behind schedule that also would have been fine. But facing delays without hearing from them was annoying.)
The only thing we wish was different about the fence itself is that our previous fence had a spring-loaded gate so that it closed automatically, and this one does not, so it stays open unless we push it shut. It didn't occur to us until after the work was done. The salesperson saw the old fence, so It seems like Pyle missed an opportunity to upsell us on a spring-loaded gate. Arguably we should have thought of it, but since they're the fencing professionals and they saw the old gate, it would have made sense for them to bring it up.
