"Robert was very nice. He gave me an estimate, which included cutting out parts and replacing sections of my driveway, revealing the entire driveway and was able to do it in the same week. His men did a wonderful job and he came to check on them several times during the process. Highly recommend!!"

"Accurate Asphalt put my driveway in 4 years ago. I recently had a problem with a small spot on my driveway. I contacted Ace Cooper and he came out the next morning to take a look at it. He said he would fix it, no problem. The relief I felt was tremendous. I would highly recommend Accurate Asphalt for a driveway and for their follow up customer service."

"Christian Fletcher did an amazing job on my driveway. My driveway was way overdue for a sealcoat. I had two large cracks and other minor cracks that I was unaware of. Christian took time out of his busy schedule to come to my house to thoroughly exam my driveway. He was honest about what was needed to restore my overdue aged driveway. He broke explained everything is was going to do and all the materials is was going to use. Christian was punctual, professional and respectful during this entire process. I would, without a doubt, recommend his services....Thank you Christian for making my driveway look brand new again......."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Asphalt driveways last anywhere from 15 to 30 years, but if you don’t stay on top of repairs, you may find yourself spending extra to replace your driveway before its typical lifespan. Stay on top of repairing cracks and potholes by routinely inspecting your driveway once or twice a year. It’s a good idea to pressure wash your asphalt driveway at least once a year to keep it clean. Apply a sealer every one to five years, based on your climate.

At a depth of two inches, a ton of asphalt covers around 80 to 100 square feet. However, the thicker the asphalt, the less surface area it will cover. That’s why measuring correctly is essential when estimating asphalt needs and costs to ensure you get enough material to cover your entire driveway, patio, or other asphalt surface.

An asphalt driveway should be at least 3 inches thick over a compacted gravel base. Areas with poor drainage should have a thicker stone base. To install a new asphalt driveway over an existing driveway, the new asphalt should be at least 2 inches thick and the existing driveway should be in relatively good condition.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.

An ideal driveway gradient is between 2% and 5%. Anything lower than 1% or higher than 15% can cause problems for your car or property. A driveway with less than a 1% slope increases your likelihood of flooding and water damage, while a driveway with a 15% grade or higher can be too steep for safe traveling.
