We had been thinking about what to do for several years and kept speaking with contractors who were more interested in selling us what they wanted rather than what we wanted or needed. The steps out the door are wide and look great. When the work was being done I noticed some small adjustments we wanted, and he accommodated the changes without complaint and with only slight adjustments in costs to cover additional expenses (like railing for the basement steps). We had tons of rain and he worked around it. They cleaned up and reseeded the grass where it was needed. I am beyond happy. The beauty, usability, and cost (within my budget) al worked to give me the perfect outcome. The Ballard team came in and assessed the situation, repaired not only that paver, but tightened up all of the pavers along the perimeter of our patio. That thing isn't going anywhere any time soon! We had 10 yards of mulch and three yards of Leafgrow delivered that morning and by the end of the day our flower beds were all edged and mulched, the lawn was aerated and has a top "dressing" of three yards of Leafgrow and the place looks fantastic. This was a long day for these guys -- finished up at about 6PM but wow I was super impressed. Mr. Lemus is friendly and very accommodating. "SBC did great hardscape work for our neighbors, so we called them when it was time for us to have some work done. They responded quickly and provided a quote to replace a failing retaining wall and gave us options to rehab 2 patio areas full of rotting boards. As part of the work on the retaining wall, it became evident that our porch was a safety hazard and needed to be replaced. SBC immediately shored up the porch, and Steve worked with us to re-do the designs and reallocate materials to rebuild our porch, rehab the patios and keep the costs reasonable, including going the extra mile to get certified so that we could maintain the warrant on our roof. We now have a wonderful, maintenance-free outdoor space. We have a number of other outside projects, and SBC will be our first call."
