"The provider performed the service and explained why our light fixture wasn't working properly. Since it was simply a matter of not screwing a light bulb in properly he only charged a service fee and not labor plus gave me 10% off."

"He was able to install 2 modern lights in our bathroom and take out a
1960 vanity with horrible lights. Installed a light switch in one of our
bedrooms that we are redoing and fix all the electrical boxes that were 2
prong to 3 prong. We have him coming back in June to do more work as he
was very professional.

"I paid labor for the install with no fans. I believe that they may not have the electrical experience and I should have vetted better. All 3 fans had "some issue" so I chose to return them and start again with an electrician instead of handyman service. This is my 8th ceiling fan install and I have never had a problem. In order to maintain a customer, it would have been good to get a break on the pricing since I had no working fans after two days and another technician showing up. My time and money is down the drain unfortunately and I paid when there was no contract to sign. I won't make that mistake again."

"I can’t say enough great things about Chad and his expertise! We’ve lived in our home for 3 years now and only because of King’s Electric do we FINALLY have a light in our dining room ?? Chad scheduled an estimate quickly within a week from the first time I inquired about him, then he was able to perform a whole house safety check of our electrical panel, smoke detectors, etc., before installing our new light fixture all in a matter of a few hours. He was a pleasure to have in our home, very personable and easy to chat with. Zero pressure to schedule any extra or recommended services until we were ready. And so clean and efficient! So impressed with the customer service and quality of work!"

"I had scheduled an appointment with Mr. Davis to continue updating the electrical work. He had advised me to change the panel box from the Federal Pacific panel box that's a fire hazard to a new panel box. In addition had some trouble shooting to the electrical circuits done. Next, all lights in the basement ceiling didn't work and outdated. I had six new recess lights installed. All work was done satisfactorily, and I'm very satisfied.

Chandelier Installation FAQs, answered by experts

It’s possible to remove a new construction recessed light without getting into your attic, though it’s a bigger job. You’ll need to identify the joist locations using a stud finder, then cut a square hole in the drywall of your ceiling to remove the fasteners holding the fixture. After removing the light, you’ll have to patch and paint the ceiling again.

Installing recessed lights requires you to cut holes in the ceiling, create an electrical wiring connection, install the fixture, and connect it to your service panel. It should only be done by those with electrical skills, due to the safety concerns it presents.

If you feel uneasy about taking it on yourself, it’s recommended to contact a local technician to complete the installation for you.

This is based on personal preference, budget, and the vibe you are going for with your holiday lighting. If you are looking for the cheapest option, incandescent lights are a budget-friendly choice. You can also opt for sheets of lights that cover areas such as trees and bushes for easier installation.

Just as fluorescent lights are more efficient than incandescent lights, LED lights are more efficient to run than fluorescent lights. The specifics will vary from product to product, but LED lights are typically twice as efficient as equivalent fluorescent lights. A 13-watt CFL bulb can replace a 60-watt incandescent bulb, but a 6- to 8-watt LED bulb can offer the same amount of brightness. Fluorescent lights offer about 50 lumens per watt, while LEDs offer about 100 lumens per watt. LED light bulbs typically last two to three times as long as CFL bulbs, too.

Under-cabinet lights are typically affixed to mounts that are drilled into the cabinet using screws. Cable staples are used to secure the cords in place. Alternatively, tape lights can be attached directly to the underside of the cabinet using adhesive. These installation methods provide secure and versatile—and potentially removable—options for illuminating your kitchen space.
