"I hired them to lift the concrete pad of our garage to level. We leveled our garage floor so that the subsequent new garage doors would meet squarely with the garage floor. Stabil was professional, effective, communicated clearly - even through unexpected surprises, and very courteous. Their cost was reasonable compared to another company, and the whole process was far less hassle, mess and cost compared to tearing up and pouring a new concrete pad. I would highly recommend."

"Salesman was very accommodating and arranged a quick installation as the house was on the market already. Installers arrived promptly and worked quickly and efficiently. Work foreman was very easy to work with and took the time to explain everything. Work was finished in a timely manner. Work area was left clean. Two calls to the service dept. a couple of weeks later have gone unanswered. My C rating on responsiveness is a combination of an A for the sales rep and an F for the service dept."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"My house was flooded by super storm Jonas.  I was distressed and did not know what to do.  Naturally, I needed to get the wet stuff out and dry the house ASAP.  I went online and contacted a franchise remediation firm.  However, when I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Angie's List they had no information or ratings, that was concerning.  That's when I found MJ Home Services.  Their BBB rating and Angie's List reviews were excellent.  I decided to contact Melissa at MJ Home Services.  Melissa, the owner, sent Mike out to assess the damage.  Mike was on time and very personable.  After my meeting with Mike I was contacted by John, the owner, and he educated me on the process to remediate a flood damaged home.  At no time did I feel like I was being 'sold.'  MJ Home Services was extremely professional, responsive and courteous throughout.
This was a really big job.  Brian and a crew of five spent an entire day removing all the wet contents from my home.  Brian and Melissa provided pictures of the work and progress throughout the day.  I was in constant contact with Brian and Melissa and felt very comfortable with this large team of people working on my home...did I mention this is my vacation home and I live two hours away?  Upon completion of work Brian and Melissa contacted me to let me know and that they had left commercial grade fans to help speed of the drying process.  The next morning, after work was completed, I drove to my property to take a look.  Mike met me there and walked me through the work that was performed.  He asked if I was satisfied and went on his way.  What impressed me most was the condition of the home after the work was completed.  Remember, the house was a mess due to flooding.  Then I had a crew of five to six guys inside an 1100 sq ft house for a full day and I did not find ANY trash or remnants of debris.  Now, I'm a very picky guy ... and I have worked with many contractors over the years.  What I have found is a clean work site is indicative of a firm who takes pride in their work and cares for their clients.
MJ Home Services was professional, responsive, courteous, thorough and communicative from start to finish.  I would highly recommend them and expect I will contact them for future services.

"Dannie came to our home in August and gave us a verbal estimate on the job; he never gave us a written estimate which I believe could have prevented the misunderstanding about what the price included. He was not able to start the job in a timely fashion because he was involved in another job and the homeowner kept adding projects which kept pushing our job back. When Dannie started the job, he re-laminated our kitchen countertop and he did an EXCELLENT job! He also installed a new stainless steel kitchen sink which turned out to be the wrong one which had been shipped by the supplier (not his fault). This complicated the whole project and ended up increasing the price...again not his fault. Dannie was pleasant and stood behind his work but I felt that he needed to be more detail oriented. I had to call his attention to several things for him to resolve them.

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Yes, expanding foam (also known as polyurethane foam) can lift concrete. This approach, called polyjacking, involves injecting the foam rather than concrete slurry to fill voids and raise the concrete slab back into place. It’s often faster and requires smaller drill holes than traditional mudjacking, though it may come at a higher cost. Some contractors also prefer polyjacking over mudjacking for more damaged and delicate slabs.

The method involves lifting settled concrete using pressurized cement slurry via drilled holes. This solves uneven surfaces and prevents further settling.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.
