"We obtained several opinions and quotes, and decided to go with Mark and his team because they provided several solutions for the issue: 1) Install pipe underground that connected our sump pump output to a pop-up at the bottom of the yard, so that water from the sump pump could no longer saturate the lawn 2) plant topsoil and grass, so that the water had a place to go instead of just washing the mud down the hill, and 3) redo the concrete step at the base of our walkway with a gradient so that water would no longer collect there. They we friendly when I called to  set up the appointment and worked with me to accommodate my work schedule. And, they continued to to make sure I was in the loop when the two gentlemen came to do the work. Not only did they contacted me to tell me they were going to be a bit delayed - it turned out to be about an half-hour - because of some engine troubles, they also spent time with me when the arrived to find out what my expectations were and where I wanted them to focus their efforts. Afterwards, they gave me regular progress updates. Since they were hired at an hourly rate, they wanted to make sure that they completed the work  I needed done and that there were no unexpected surprises regarding the cost. Both of which, I very much appreciated.
Moreover, although the cost was a bit higher than I hoped, that was because I underestimated the scale of the job. In retrospect, the cost was very fair given  the herculean effort of the two gentlemen - unfortunately I can't recall their names - to clear up all of the leaves. They worked nonstop, methodically, and effectively, and were able to clean up the entire property. When they were done there wasn't so much as a leaf or branch left behind anywhere. I was amazed!
I can't say enough good things about the folks at ACE. I would hire them again in an instant and would recommend them to anyone who needs work done around the yard.
