Drain Pipe Installation
David was amazing. I had downspouts and sump pump discharge drainage installed by him in my yard. He ran a drain pipe through my backyard to the end of the property. He also graded to slope all the low points in my yard. I no longer worry when it rains. No more soggy grass and sitting water thanks to him. He arrived early and completed the job within a day. I really appreciate the craftsmanship and the respect for my home. He left the yard better than he found it and cleaned up behind his work. I would 100% use his services again.

I can't believe anyone is using this guy. He is a fraud. Did an estimate AND CHARGED US TWICE because we were using it in a court case. He would not answer his phone when we attempted to contact him. CHARGED US FOR AN ESTIMATE AND WAS UNAVAILABLE TO DO THE WORK.

Mr. Dave Zile did the regrading. Then he was to rake the back yard and seed and straw. When he did the work it had rained for days and the yard was muddy. I told him he should wait until the yard was dry but he refused and proceeded to finish the work and seed. The grass came up but the yard had not been racked as agreed in the contract, and therefore there are so many ruts, holes, and rough spots that it is difficult to work across the yard. I feel like it is not safe to walk in the yard. He said he could use a roller on it but never returned to do that. He did not return my calls after that.

Dave raised the grade around part of our house to help protect the foundation. He brought in and laid the fill, seeded grass, and evened out a hump in our yard from poorly set backfill from a sewer line replacement we had completed last year. He also adjusted the height of the sewer cleanouts. He did an excellent job, and was both prompt and communicative. Would definitely work with him again.

Dave is absolutely the best! We have worked with him for multiple of our projects. Grading and drainage for horse arena, adding a driveway (to include asphalt) with parking pads for trailers, and our latest was drainage and footing for a dry pen for horses. Great communication and always prompt. Jobs are completed efficiently and way above what we thought possible. I’d recommend him to anyone!

"All work described in the agreement was accomplished plus an additional 4 hours that I did not charge for waiting for tree removal to the finished grading and as far as correspondence I responded to every text and voicemail for some reason he probably has me blocked on his phone and he doesn't know it I am at this time writing a letter to send to him to see if I can get him to understand but he was given approximately an additional $500 worth of work at no charge"

Dave showed up, all 3 days, early (7am) and worked diligently. From time to time, my wife and I had questions regarding how to ideally improve aesthetics (ultimately resale value), Dave would provide detailed responses and patiently answer our amateur questions. When we didn't fully understand he took a minute to explain. From the get-go, Dave was flexible whether in the quoting process or construction phase. If you are like us, who care more about the outcome of the project rather than a fancy uniform, Dave is your excavator. IF YOU DON'T HIRE THIS GUY YOU'RE CRAZY. LET ME SAY IT AGAIN. IF YOU DONT HIRE THIS GUY YOU'RE CRAZY!!!! Dave came out and gave me a quote detailing exactly what he was going to do for me. The job was pretty detailed. I had a 40 x 40 basketball court that needed to be removed. This included hauling away 25 - 30 tons of concrete as well as countless railroad ties. Once the winter weather broke he called to say we could get started. After removing basketball court, he returned yard to it's original grade and buried gutter lines to flow away from slope. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the job Dave did for our family.

My experience with Dave Zile was terrible. Midway through each phase of the job he decides to raise his prices, threatening to pack up and leave if his demands aren’t met. This happened over 5 times, the 5th time this happened he packed up his things and left the site. Through the duration of the job, Mr Dave spoke to me with no respect whatsoever, swearing every few minutes, calling me a motherf****r multiple times for no just reason. Never have I worked with any professional like this especially one who gives his own price for a job, then midway through the job increases it ridiculously and threatens to abandon the job if those demands aren’t met. The lot in question is currently in bad condition at the moment due to Mr Dave constantly cutting corners in order to receive his payments early. This has been the worst experience I’ve had with any subcontractor who claims to be a professional and my advice is to steer clear away from DZ’s contracting. There are better companies out there who have the decency of giving their clients the respect they deserve.

Dave did a great job. He removed a large, thick concrete porch that was difficult to get to. He also installed a concrete sidewalk, and removed some large bushes. He did the work quickly and at a fair price. I would definitely hire him again.

Dave Ziles is thoroughly professional, multi-disciplined, and is a man of his word. After a particularly brutal Winter which stressed our trees and impacted our pipes and drains we contacted Dave to take care of our problems which ranged from pipes which had collapsed upon themselves, drains which had become completely detached, a culvert and gutters which had been clogged and swamped with dead leaves, and trees which needed both removal and maintenance. It took Dave all of 6 days to handle everything and restore the items we'd contracted for to their mint condition. He worked from sun-up to sun-down, arrived at our house at 7:00a.m. daily, answered all of our calls, and kept us abreast of all of his plans and progress. He even handled the pine needles which completely covered parts of our lawn and aesthetically arranged them under our trees to provide them with extra fertilization. We would unquestionably recommend DZ's Contracting! They did a superb job and left us far more than satisfied at a very affordable price to boot.

I had very high expectations for this job, and Dave Zile exceeded them. The job was done on time, and on budget. Dave thought of things that I missed. Frankly, it couldn't have gone any better. I built my house many years ago, and have been involved in construction projects ever since. Dave ranks among the best contractors I have dealt with in any profession or trade in all those years. Dave came out to assess the project on the day and time he told me. He seemed knowledgable about concrete demolition. When he asked to do a test for how the concrete would come out, I knew that he was my kind of contractor! Because he had information about the job from his test, he could give us a fair price! As it turns out this test he did was a strong predictor for how he works. He did all the work himself with his machines. He checked in with us about work hours and days. Very polite and respectful person. Right before he came to do the job, a small tornado came through our area and knocked down several larger trees and large branches. I strained my back removing some of the branches and approached Dave about helping me out. He jumped right in the next day with his own chainsaw and other machinery and downed and cleared two large trees and other branches! When he was done with pool patio demolition and tree removal, he cleaned up and seeded disturbed lawn areas. Dave is easy to talk to and has ideas and knowledge he will share with you. In short, he is great! He has my respect. We hope to have him working on future projects on our property.

Contacted Dave to discuss leveling a portion of our backyard to install a shed. Dave was available the next day to provide a quote. I had a few ideas on how he could level the yard, but he had some great ideas that saved us money and materials. Dave was available to start work within a few days and it was evident he was really experienced with excavation. He was extremely professional and meticulous and took care to not damage our grass. He leveled the soil, laid a base of stone, graded the soil to the rest of the existing yard, and seeded the disturbed soil. He cleaned up everything really well, leaving the space better than when he arrived. It turned out even better than we expected. I highly recommend DZ's Construction for excavation services, and I will definitely use him in the future.
