I have dealt with many service providers and contractors in my decade here in Washington, DC, and I can confidently say that Mackay Roofing is absolutely outstanding.  I am a discerning consumer, and I simply could not be happier with Mackay's service. 
First, an actual Mackay family member answered the phone when I initially called.  He was great, and offered to visit my home for an estimate same-day.  Following that, his crew arrived at my home exactly on time for the estimate that day.
The actual work went perfectly as well.  Another member of the Mackay family attended the entire job and updated me during the day on his team's progress.  Further, he took many pictures of both the before/after aspects of the work and was more than willing to email/text them to me.  Also, each member of the crew was conscientious, and the overall job was high quality and completed by end-of-day, which is what was estimated.  Finally, the price I was quoted was the price I paid.  There were no surprises, adjustments, etc.  
Lastly, I was very impressed with Mackay's focus on customer satisfaction and personal service.  I have called them twice with follow-up questions, and each time my questions were answered by the Mackays directly, and all is well.

"They do come back very quickly, and with a good offer for the gutter cleaning. We said yes and then about a week later I got another email that set the appointment. When they came out, it took them almost no time at all. The gentleman took pictures, cleaned the gutters, and left. The property was pretty clean and I was pretty happy with the service. I got the bill that day, with the pictures and paid. It was actually pretty painless. Our family is older and disabled for the most part. None of us can get on a ladder, so finding a service to do chores like this is very helpful. Uncle Skeeters did a good job and we will probably hire them again if we don't get a gutter protection system."
