"I used Movers USA at the beginning of this year to move my 10’ X 15’ storage unit from NE Balt. City to an apartment in Asheville, NC. Prior to my selecting this company, I checked out 6 or 7 other companies also listed on Angi, and along with Movers, seriously interviewed and went over to another company and met with them in person. I dealt with Movers’ owner Sharon Nahoom a number of times through email and in a couple of calls. In addition, I went over to his office located in the very large company storage facility in Jessup. I was impressed with this storeroom being well organized and its’ sheer size and the size and cleanliness of a truck he showed me. In addition, Sharon was friendly and overall fairly accommodating. Mr. Nahoom was the only one honest and clear with me, that as I personal had packed everything, and even though most boxes were clearly labeled, no insurance carrier would insure them as they had not been professionally packed. This honesty saved me at least $300 to $500 on needless insurance. In addition, Sharon was flexible with me on matching some terms that the other company I was serious dealing with offered—-no charge for an extra day of storing my items in the truck, extra steps to the apt, and on pick-up and delivery dates. He was also reasonable with his price—-being on the lower end of the scale from the 7-8 companies I had quotes from. The cheapest by far, was a company located in Washington state that used contracted movers—-but I didn’t want to take a chance with this The pick-up went smoothly, starting on time, and with the foreman—-Fernando, and four younger movers emptying my storage unit into their truck in a couple of hours. Two days later in Asheville, Fernando showed with a lady helper—-but no-one else. He managed to do the bulk of the moving himself up 30 steps—-as the apt was on the third floor. A number of times I had to assist him from his unloading the top couple of boxes—-as he would just carry them up on his back with a large canvas strap! If I had not helped some with some boxes would have fell to the floor. He stated he was in ‘a rush’ as he wanted to get back through the mountains down her before the forecasted storm early that afternoon. Things were rushed as fair as quick decisions by me which room specific boxes and items were put—-as we were dealing with the realities of one mover in a rush, with nice woman periodically bringing up a few more things up. Overall the move went smoothly, but I have concerns that just having one man with some extra help was “putting almost all the eggs in one basket”—-if he had gotten hurt, plus he had done all the 8 plus hour drive here, and was doing the same on the way back. Only thing broke was a worthless drinking glass that I had poorly packed. As I had about 280 boxes I wanted to open them all and see that there was no damaged items. I had taken some items to my sisters in Montgomery Co and then took down most this when I headed south a few days after the storage unit move, and given a number things to Goodwill —-so not sure about a couple of things I thought I still had. Overall I would have given this company somewhere around a “B+” grade but as there are no ‘pluses’ or ‘minuses’ that is why I gave Movers 4 stars rather than the 5."

Will definitely defintely recommend them to anyone looking for a pro-quality and yet least expensive options. their crew did an awesome job; worked for almost 14 hours non-stop and ensured that all of items got professional packaged, moved to the right room and installed/unassembled as applicable. "I had a really great experience with Metropolitan Moving & Storage. Kathleen answered all my questions ahead of time and I felt very well prepared for my move. The movers were very fast and professional—they were probably only in my old place for an hour and my new place for an hour too, and that was with packing. They fit their truck in the parking spot even though a car was in my permitted area. They also kindly moved an outdoor couch that was already in the new place to a different spot. The amount I paid was much less than I was quoted, I think because I'd done a good amount of work beforehand, but that was a pleasant surprise. Nothing was damaged or missing. Highly recommend Metropolitan Moving!"

"I have used Bargain Movers for two whole house moves prior to this, I didn’t even call around for other quotes this time, that should tell you everything you need to know! This time we needed to consolidate all furniture from main level of our house into basement/garage during floor work and renovations. Martina in the office was friendly, responsive and flexible with our rescheduling needs and clear about pricing/logistics. Javier and Joel were very professional and hard working both visits. They were efficient and careful disassembling/reassembling furniture, padding/wrapping/protecting and fitting everything where it needed to go."

After another moving company bailed on me the day before my scheduled move, All Service swooped in and saved the day. Rico and Reyes showed up EARLY, upbeat, and ready to tackle the challenge—even with super heavy furniture that usually requires a 4-person crew. Somehow, the two of them handled everything like pros without a single scratch or ding—on the furniture or either home. What really stood out was how personable, kind, and thoughtful they were. "Wow what a great moving experience (one of the best all time... I've never worked with such a professional moving company). Malik was a stellar communicator from start to finish. He sent an email with the quote (and a two-page PDF of moving tips!) well ahead of time, confirmed the date and time via text and made sure we had each other's phone #s on the day of the move. On moving day (which was the 4th of July), they showed up right on time and moved everything quickly, efficiently and carefully. There was no damage to anything.
