Very happy with the result-Sonya and Josh were prompt to answer and come for an estimate and accomodated our schedule to get the cleaning done. "very well - ladies are quiet, focused, knowledgable; did a superb job, though time limited, they maximized the cleaning for a sort period and gave me extra time due to a request they made for me to switch appointment days"

"Very well.  They quietly and efficiently cleaned the tougher jobs such as bathrooms, kitchens, etc., to include vacuuming.  The problem is time,  Have your regular house cleaning done.  If you don't they will do that first,  House looked great!

"After repair work was done, the shower is like new. The shield prevents the buildup of soap scum, making cleaning easier than ever. Also had my granite counters sealed. This is a great product, and the service I received was top notch."

"What can I say about George! He is an artist of his trade. Took his time, measured everything perfectly, and the entire construction came out flawless. The caulking looks like it was made from a machine. He is extremely knowledgeable, hard-working, and will not leave the job until it’s perfect.. also a really nice guy!. No doubt in my mind he’s the best in trade and will hire him for the rest of our bathrooms! I highly recommend him! It’s hard to find contractors of this quality... if not impossible... i’m glad I found him. Thank you George!"

"Vincent is very good.  He came out quickly.  Gave me a fair estimate on my job.  As we go into the job we found several unforeseen issues.  There was some damage to the existing floors that was hidden by carpets.  The floors were a variety and size that was extremely hard to find.  Vincent was great about moving he schedule around until we were able to get the right flooring for the job.  He came out immediately after we got the right flooring and finished the job in time for delivery of new furniture.  The  job came out great.  I would highly recommend using Vincent for your flooring job.

"We had a pretty bad experience with both the main office and installers. Since we were only having the countertops done and not the entire kitchen, we didn't have a contractor and dealt with everyone personally. I found that they probably took advantage of the fact that we didn't know any better throughout the process. I wouldn't go with Advanced if you don't have a contractor who knows how these types of jobs should go and can deal with the main office and installers for you.
The first impression was great. The woman who showed us around the warehouse was very knowledgeable and friendly and we had our estimate the same day we went in. Their prices were comparable to other places we went to. However, they offered more edge finishes included in the standard price than other granite places we looked at. The first impression is really what got us to decide to use them
The scheduling office wasn't great. They tried to cover up mistakes by offering us "free granite" when really what they were offering us was the backsplashes they had to cut for us because they cut our countertops to the wrong specifications. When the initial installers weren't able to install our countertops (we had some leveling issues with our cabinets we had to fixed), it took 2 days for the scheduling office to call me back to schedule another installation day and we had to schedule it a week out (so no countertops for a week). Rather than send us the same installers (who were aware of the issues we were having), they sent two different guys.
The installers also cut the hole for the faucet directly over one of our cabinets, making it impossible for my plumber to install the faucet. Luckily when we called, Advanced was able to send out one of their plumbers to fix it the same day. Apparently this had happened before with the same installer (per the plumber).
The overall finished product is fine, just the road to get there was a little more painful than I was hoping.

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Wood floors should be polished every two to four months to maintain a shine and to keep them protected from daily wear and tear. More frequent maintenance includes dry mopping the floors daily and cleaning spills immediately, using a spray mop and cleaner weekly to remove any built up dirt or grime, and sanding and refinishing the floors every three to five years.

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

Maintenance includes regular cleaning with appropriate products, periodic sealing to protect against staining and wear, and addressing minor issues before they escalate.

Before starting on a full refinishing project, determine if your floors need to be completely sanded down to the bare wood or if the damage is shallow and mostly cosmetic. Deep scratches and gouges will require you to rough sand using a drum sander or belt sander, but small surface scratches or floors that have only lost their luster don’t need a complete overhaul. Instead, you can skip the rough sanding step and sand-screen the old finish with a buffer, removing only the top layer of polyurethane.

Steam mops can be a better option than traditional mops because the steam can lift stubborn dirt from floors without using chemicals, and it also kills bacteria and dust mites. However, steam mops have drawbacks: they are more expensive, require an electrical outlet, and are not suitable for all flooring types, such as laminate or hardwood, which can be damaged by the steam.

Regular mopping can also sanitize floors effectively when done with the right cleaning products and techniques, though it may require more effort. The main advantage of a traditional mop is its versatility, as it can be used on any type of flooring. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your floor type, budget, and cleaning preferences.
