"I contacted Colonial on 10/10/13 and the next morning Steve called and came right away in the heavy downpours. Steve provided Superior service and identified our needs immediately to secure our front door especially with having two small kids.
Steve is great example of professional and courtesy service and represents Colonial Locksmith very well. Colonial Locksmith should be very proud having someone like Steve represent their company in the community.
I would highly recommend anyone in the area that needs a locksmith that will do the job fast and right the first time with a backed guarantee, you can't go wrong.
Many thanks

"My primary goal was to remove the carpet and install hardwood floors in the two small bedrooms, hallway, stairs and living room. At the front door, I did not want hardwood flooring because of all the dirt, and mud that gets dragged in the house. I did not know what was the best type of flooring to put at the entryway.
I got estimates from 3 different contractors. One from Marvel Home Improvements because Devin's crew had done work at my house before. Devin's estimate was in excess of $20K. Too much money.
Then I got an estimate from a Home Depot. Initially at the store I had discussed with the sales clerk about getting a certain color for the hardwood floor. When the Home Depot contractor came by my house, we decided on another color for the hardwood floor and some other things. When I went to Home Depot to pick up the quote, I saw that these changes did not appear in the quote. Not good.
My third estimate was from Buzz Bunting. Buzz evaluated all the details such as hardwood floor type, ledge next to the steps, the closet doors, and the trim. Buzz suggested slate for the front entryway and explained why. Then Buzz emailed me an invoice. I accepted it because it had everything we discussed and the cost was reasonable.
I requested that Buzz and his crew take their time in getting the job done right rather than rushing through the work. When Buzz and his floor crew had completed the two small bedrooms and hallway, Buzz was simultaneously working on shellacking the closet doors at his workshop and ordering the slate.
Then I discussed with a Buzz an additional change to the original request. I asked if he could replace the ingress door to one of the bedrooms to a sliding door. Also if he could fix the grabbing of the front door. Buzz did and updated the invoice to reflect that.
All in all it took two months to get everything completed. It has been over a year now and I am still very pleased with the results.

The cost to hire a locksmith ranges from $50 to $200 but can cost up to $500. Cost factors vary but may include your location, the urgency of the request (emergencies typically cost more), and the complexity and size of the job. With many homes moving from standard mechanical locks to smart and electronic security and locking systems, locksmiths may charge more for the expertise and equipment needed to do the work required by these systems.
Yes, many locksmiths can usually program a key fob for your car. The cost for car dealerships to replace lost or stolen key fobs can get expensive. Alternatively, check with a local professional locksmith to review your options and prices.
Typically, it’s cheaper to rekey your existing locks than to install new ones. The cost to rekey ranges from $80 to $160, while the cost to change locks ranges from $50 to $200, depending on the type of locks. The value of rekeying vs. replacing locks depends on the condition of your locks and whether or not you already want to replace them.
Yes, the cost to hire a reliable, professional locksmith is worth it, especially if you have a larger job like replacing all the locks and doorknobs in your house. If you’re locked out of your home or car, a locksmith has the tools and the knowledge to get you back in without risking damaging your property. You can also hire a locksmith to install or replace a doorknob or lock.
