"I recently had the pleasure of working with Erik from First State Ponds, and I can't recommend him enough. Erik traveled all the way from Delaware to Maryland to service my pond, which was having persistent issues with murky water. Before connecting with Erik, I had already been advised by another company to purchase a specific filter and pump. Thankfully, I found First State Ponds just in time. Erik took the time to explain that while the recommended filter might clear my water, it would require constant maintenance. He suggested a different filter and a stronger pump, but he was also willing to install the one I had already purchased if I preferred. After some consideration, I decided to take his advice and returned the original filter to have him install his recommended system. After struggling with murky water all summer, l admit, I was a bit skeptical. I wasn't sure that anything would truly work. But Erik's recommendation exceeded even his own predictions. We are a small family business that is ran By a father and Son it is just the 2 of us unless we hire on for bigger projects . I have been in the Baltimore area working for the past 32 years . We usually get 1/3 of the Money upfront if we supply the materials and if job is not over 5000 dollars we get paid when services are rendered. We do not except any for of credit .

"Company destroyed fountain while trying to descale lights in an upper fountain bowl. It was toppled, and we had to initiate a lawsuit to try to get them to accept responsibility. During court trial they basically submitted a defense that our fountain wasn't worth anything; they had been taking our money over 11 years. Annual maintenance cost consisting of start-up/shut-down service as well as 6 monthly services costed $1,750 during the fountain operating season. We had annual maintenance agreements with them. Annually charged from $1,500 to over $3,000 to do repairs at start-up of each season. Not at any time while taking our money did, they say we were paying for a worthless fountain, they only did that once sued for destroying it.
