"I contacted Mark's Lawn and Landscape in late March 2018 about installing a paver foundation ( 12 by 16) for a shed. I made an appointment for early morning and Mark was right on time traveling from Halethorpe to Laurel. Note that the four other firms I called said that for such a small job there was no need for a site inspection prior to the work starting. Mark quickly gave me an estimate and a time frame for when he could complete the work. For the rest of the day my thought was that maybe I could find a contractor who might do the work for somewhat less money. About three days later Mark's proposal came and the cost to do the work was exactly what he quoted and I knew then that I would give him the job. When Mark and his crew came to do the work he recommended a different location for the foundation than mine and I was pleased after taking his recommendation. Mark's crew did an excellent job installing a perfectly level foundation in a day's time and grading the area around the foundation. I asked Mark to inspect the job after completion and he said he would certainly do this. Yes, this was a small job but I was so pleased with Mark's attentiveness to my needs and requests."

When he asked to do a test for how the concrete would come out, I knew that he was my kind of contractor! Because he had information about the job from his test, he could give us a fair price! As it turns out this test he did was a strong predictor for how he works. He did all the work himself with his machines. He checked in with us about work hours and days. Very polite and respectful person. Right before he came to do the job, a small tornado came through our area and knocked down several larger trees and large branches. I strained my back removing some of the branches and approached Dave about helping me out. He jumped right in the next day with his own chainsaw and other machinery and downed and cleared two large trees and other branches! When he was done with pool patio demolition and tree removal, he cleaned up and seeded disturbed lawn areas. Dave is easy to talk to and has ideas and knowledge he will share with you. In short, he is great! He has my respect. We hope to have him working on future projects on our property."

"It started as a DIY project. We turned off the house main and disassembled the leaky hose bib. Then we found out we couldn't just replace the washer not took it off entirely. We called several places and Saffer was the only one who could provide an immediate emergency service with clear service window. Jason (I hope I got his name right) arrived on time and was very professional. He was able to get the old hose bib off (turned out we just didn't have the right tools) and installed the new one that we already bought. Upon request, he also attempted to check if we accidentally damaged attached piping, but unfortunately it was not possible because it was hidden behind a finished wall. Because the work only took 15 minutes, he even gave us a discount (original quote was $160). We are very happy to have a properly working hose bib again!"
