"The start date was delayed about two weeks due to weather but once they got going they worked steadily until the job was done. They were here early each morning and left at four. The workers were polite, friendly, and asked questions when they weren't sure about a few things. They left the place very neat and tidy. The slope looks very good. It's to early to tell how much better the drainage is but it is definitely better than it was. They were easy to work with and very dependable and efficient. Would definitely hire them again."

"George came out to give us an estimate, and even offered to replace our wooden steps with concrete, because he said he would have to order an amount of concrete that was more than what was required to simply replace that section of our driveway that needed to be replaced. I wanted to keep our wooden steps, however, so I declined this offer. We signed the contract on the spot, though, and provided a downpayment, since George gave us the best price and seemed very earnest, knowledgeable, and sincere. He said a professional concrete mixing truck would come with the concrete. We didn't know exactly when this would happen, though, and indeed, we had a couple or more of rainy weeks that delayed the work.. Then, one day, a couple of guys from Legacy Contracting showed up with no notice and even started to tear up the remaining portion of that section of the driveway that needed to be removed to pour the new concrete before I realized what was going on. (Fortunately, I was home.) I then went outside to see what was going on -- or one of the guys came to the door -- I don't remember now which happened first -- but the end result is if I hadn't been home to move the car (sometimes I go away with my husband in his car), the car in the garage would have been stuck there until the concrete had hardened enough to be able to drive over it -- and I wouldn't have had a car to drive during that period. The two guys then proceeded to prepare that part of the driveway for the new concrete, tearing up that section of the driveway that needed to (entirely) come out, and removing it with the front loader that they had brought with them. They then laid the rebar, used a straight board at the edge of the driveway to hold in the concrete to be poured (I later realized this board should have been curved, because we have a slight curve in our driveway), and then proceeded to mix bags of Quikrete (I believe it was) by hand in the bed of the front loader, and pour it into the form, such as it was. My husband (who, by then, had left work early to come home to see how the work was going) and I provided the hose, which these guys didn't have, since they were going back and forth to the water spigot -- a fair distance away -- with a container, to get water to mix the concrete. When it came to smoothing off the surface of the concrete, one of the guys did the best he could with a trowel that he had with him, since these guys admitted they didn't have the proper tools to do the job. Needless to say, rather than the surface being smooth like the rest of the driveway, it had swirls, although very nice-looking swirls -- still, not something you want on a driveway. Finally, to make a long story short, Legacy Contracting redid the job, bringing out a professional concrete mixing truck to pour the concrete, just as we had been told in the beginning. In fact, Legacy Contracting sent George out (I believe) the day after the first faulty job, and promised at that time to redo the job "right." Still, there was about a week's delay (as I recall), before the same two guys came out, this time to tear up and remove the concrete they had laid the week before. This time, as it turned out, we got an email very early in the morning (earlier than I get up), telling us that the "old" concrete would be removed that day and the new concrete poured. Still, the same two guys started to rip up the driveway before I even knew they were there and that the work was going to be done that day, so I was barely able to get the car out of the garage -- again -- before it would have been "too late." If we had been even been away for a couple of days, we wouldn't have known that the work was going to be performed that day, and the car could have been "stuck" in the garage until the "new" concrete had hardened. This time, in fact (after the second pouring), we left the car out of the garage for two weeks before we drove over the "new" concrete, since I remembered George had told us to wait that long, not just two days, as we had been told for the (first) Quikrete. So, I have given Legacy Contracting a "B," even though the work was done well the second time (even preserved the "curve" at the edge of our driveway), because it took Legacy Contracting two tries to do this (I still don't have a clue who those first two guys were, or why they tried to do the job without the proper tools, and without the professional concrete mixing truck), and the notice Legacy Contracting gave us -- needed to get the car out of the garage so it wouldn't be "stuck"-- was just pitiful. (I would have been content with a day's notice, provided we could confirm that the next day, was, in fact, "okay" with us.) This, despite the fact that Legacy Contracting was very apologetic about the first faulty job and immediately promised to redo it "right." So, yes, I would use Legacy Contracting again, but I would hope for a better experience."
