"Austin Wells handled our sinking concrete pad and cracks near my garage. He explained everything, neat, and very professional. My wife and I appreciated how he wore a uniform and conducted himself in as an expert in his field. I would definitely call JES again, in particular, Austin Wells to handle any other concrete leveling issues."

"I had really fallen behind in my yard work. I had not been able to do my back yard in more than 3 years because as soon as I did one side of the front yard, the weeds were back on the other side. My husband and I used to handle it together, but since he passed away, doing it alone was overwhelming. I found this company on Home Advisor. I got 2 other quotes which were way out of my budget. Will';s price was the lowest by more than half. He is not trying to take you to the cleaners. His people spent 2 days on my yard and I could not be more pleased. They arrived with everything they needed. Asked me for approval along the way and cleaned up. I am going to get them to do work inside the house also."

"

Marvin is very conscientious business man. He showed up when he said he would, worked under some of the hottest conditions imaginable to complete the work as scheduled. When a couple of issues arose he returned and redid things until I was 100% satisfied.

One of my neighbors saw his work and contracted him for concrete work at his house. He ensures customer is completely satisfied and is a man who keeps his word. I would definitely hire him again

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

A slurry of cement, sand, and water is injected beneath the concrete to lift and stabilize it.

Mudjacking restores level surfaces, prevents further damage, and is more cost-effective than a full replacement.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.
