About us
We are a small, family owned and operated, deck and screened porch designing/building company based in Westminster, MD. We’ve been in business since 1992 having started in the Russett community in Laurel. We do NOT use subcontractors for building our deck and screened porches. When you hire Russett Deck Professionals for your project, that’s who will be doing the designing, obtaining building permits, and the actual construction. We are specialized deck builders and only build using the best of materials on the market. When using composite or vinyl materials, we will give you the best advice we can to help you make the right choice for your deck. We do not push any particular brand of material on you just to help us. It’s your deck, it’s your choice! We will obtain any and all building permits and supply you with drawings for your HOA approvals. We are Angies List Super Service award winners for multiple years 2012-2013-2014-2015-2017- 2018-2019-2020-2021-2023

"Thank you. It was a pleasure working with you."
"Not sure what this is about but we don’t have a contract for this work."
"Thank you."
"Thank you, [Member Name Removed]. Hope you enjoy your new deck."
"It was explained to you that since your deck wasn’t originally built properly with flashing at the ledger board and house, it would be tough to make it 100% water tight. It only leaks in 2 spots so I wouldn’t exactly call it a sieve. The deck is old and coming apart in several areas which doesn’t help with proper installation of the drainage system. We have responded properly to your calls and did tell you when we’d be out to make the repairs."
"The appointment was made with a tentative time of 7:30 knowing that there were 2 appointments ahead of you. I don’t have a set limit on how long an appointment may take and it would be rude and bad business to just get up and leave while still discussing the clients issue. They had a very unusual situation with the boundaries of their property and things took longer than expected. I don’t find it very courteous of you leaving to go walk your dog when we have an appointment set up. I would’ve been just a whole 10 minutes after our 7:30 time. That never bothers anyone else since most of our clients are smart and reasonable."
