These guys were awesome. From the planning to the building of our project. They gave us an accurate estimate. Even added an accessibility ramp at our request and fit it perfectly on the deck they built for us. They were able to start our project a week ahead of schedule and even worked in weather that was very cold. They were efficient and quick. They cleaned everything up when they were finished and I couldn’t have ask for more polite and professional service. Will definitely contact them for future projects!

Excellent jobs done by Tom and his son. The final finish porch and deck looks like a art work. They are very nice and attend all your needs. I will recommended them to everyone.

This is the 2nd job we've hired Russett Deck Professionals for. We had 2 decks up 1 story falling apart. Tom worked with us on new design to maximize the space, and provided quotes for a few materials options. We ended up going with trex decking and keylink for the rail system. Could not be more pleased with the result. Tom and his son worked diligently to install the new decks and build them into the space like they were designed with the house. Their skill and craftsmanship are 2nd to none. They pay close attention to the details, from rounding the edges of the drink rail, to tightening every vertical cable on the railing by hand. All the finishes look clean, straight, and plum. But most important of all, the new decks are foundationally solid and sturdy, and done right. Tom and his son Tommy did a great job rebuilding our deck. We are very pleased with their craftsmanship. They were able to recreate the original style of the deck while also making it up to code. Both Tom and Tommy did all the work on the deck themselves. They were great to work with and they did everything that they said that they would do for the deck. Exactly what I wanted! They removed the old deck, built a newer, much sturdier deck, using the design and materials I requested. Work was completed in less than a week and it couldn’t be better. They got all the permits, etc. Price was very reasonable.

Tom and his son Tommy did a fantastic job. I had an old 2 level wood deck that he re-surfaced with Azek. The challenge was that I had a relatively need vinyl handrail, that I wanted to keep. Many contractors would not do the deck without demolishing the handrails. Tom was meticulous in removing the railing and then re-assembling it after the deck was complete, with no missing or broken parts. He did many repairs to the sub-structure of the deck, including rebuilding the entire stairs, and replacing all the existing joist brackets. The finished deck looks absolutely amazing! Their workmanship is exceptional, and they cleaned up as if they were never here. From the first day, when Tom came to give us an estimate, to the finished product, it was a true pleasure to work with them. They answered all my questions, and discussed various options. Russett Deck was far and away one of the best contractors I have ever worked with, and I will highly recommend them to anyone who wants a beautiful deck.

Our deck is an important feature of our house and we needed an expert.  We found that in Tom, owner of Russett Deck Professionals, Inc.  He examined our existing deck with us and made some very valuable suggestions we had not even considered.  The result is beautiful! The initial meeting with Tom, was a low pressure experience.  We felt that his estimate was very fair.  Our two level deck was completely removed.  Our new deck was installed and looks sleek, modern, and completely amazing.  Russett uses quality materials and this was crucial to us as well.  Our deck overlooks a steep hill and is visible on all sides.  We have heard from neighbors and family who watched the whole process from removal to construction and they comment on how stunning our new deck looks.  We are completely satisfied with the work of  Russett Deck and highly recommend them to others.

Tom and his son Tommy did a wonderful job. Removing our relatively new railing and then replacing it back after the deck was completed was a challenge that other contractors could not guarantee. The railings went back exactly as before, without any damage or lost pieces. They arrived on time and removed all of the old cedar two level decking. They made sure all of the sub-structure was in good condition, and replaced/reinforced where ever was necessary. They even demolished the existing steps, and built an entire new stairs. I had an existing problem with wood rot under my sliding glass door, but Tom adding flashing and insured that the new decking was slightly sloped away from the door to keep rain and moisture away from the wood base. Their overall workmanship was outstanding. They cleaned up the premises so well, that you wouldn't even know they were here. We had received estimates from several companies, but what we liked about Russett was that they only do decks, and they do it themselves......no subcontracting. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Tom and his son at Russett deck did an excellent job on my new composite deck with an added storage area underneath. They had to remove a large deck that was in bad shape before completely building the new one. I was qouted by another company, which quoted me an absurd amount compared to what was quoted by Tom. The quoted price never changed and what I was quoted was exactly what I paid. In a time where materials are hard to come by Tom did his best to get the materials needed to get the job done. I have already recommended Tom to a few neighbors and a friend and I would recommend them to anyone reading this.

Had a great experience! I quickly received an estimate from Tom when I described the deck I wanted. He took care of filing the building permit and kindly warned me that it would be ~30 days before the permit was approved. Once the permit was approved, work started on my deck and was completed in a timely manner. I am very happy with the result.

Contract signed with work forecasted for 6 weeks out. Due to county staffing issues, the permit process took a little longer than expected. Work started the day that permits were issued, and continued through completion of the project. Tom (the owner) and his son Tommy were on the job and did amazing work. The craftsmanship used in construction our deck is amazing. Lumber quality (all #1) is fantastic, and the skill in which it was laid is unparalleled. Tom and Tommy's attention to detail during construction, made a very hectic remodeling project easy to handle. I would highly recommend Russett Deck Professionals Inc. for any of your Deck needs.

Essentially, I paid $3000.00 for absolutely nothing, as my deck leaks more than before the work was done. I hired Tom to put up a waterproof ceiling on the bottom of deck to protect the patio beneath. He "completed" the work in February and my deck has been leaking like a sieve ever since. After many phone calls, over many months, I finally got him to come out and "fix" it in June, and the next rain proved that his "fix" was a complete failure, with my patio flooded with water. I have to keep a kiddie pool and a large plastic tote on my patio to catch all the water that cascades from my "waterproof ceiling." To date he has not repaired the leaks or given me any indication of when, or if, he will do so. Russett Decks is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with -- just terrible work and even worse customer service.

We recently hired Russett's decking to tear down our old deck and a build a new one. The new deck was 24ft by 24ft. This was a big a deck and we are over the moon happy with the results! The guys were here for 2 weeks and kept us in the loop throughout the entire process. We've received so many comments and have recommended Russett's to all our neighbors. The new deck is beautiful!

Tom Barna, the owner, came out to look at the job and was able to give an estimate on the same day. He was very helpful in choosing a compatible color scheme for my home. One of his crews, Tim and Brendan, started the work the following week, and completed the work after a few delays (weather, permit inspections, and a product change due to covid shutting down a railing supplier). The resulting deck turned out great! My only complaint was with a county requirement that stairs have a "continuous rail" installed (makes sense for commercial applications but less so for residences IMO). This was beyond Russett's control, but I am mentioning it to make others aware of it. Russett did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. Thanks guys!

Tom & his son did a great job in replacing our deck. My husband & I are very pleased with the workmanship and attention to detail. Our deck is beautiful and we cannot wait to enjoy it this summer.

Once we contracted the work, Russett Deck Professionals completed the repairs on time and within budget and even made additional modifications needed to pass the final inspection.
