Small jobs welcome

"Antonio and crew had their work cut out for them. My husband has not been well and as a result, our yard and garden needed much work. Besides mowing the very tall grass, they needed to remove some dead bushes and trees and trim others. We will continue to use them as there is more landscaping work needed around our property. Very professional."

"Kuhlman's cared for our lawn for the entire time we owned our house (3 years). They not only did a consistently amazing job mowing, but handled other more difficult jobs like finding and fixing buried pipes, taking down damaged trees, and aeration/over seeding. I highly recommend them!"

"We had a fantastic experience with JK Gardening Lawn & Garden Care, from start to finish. Their pricing was very reasonable, and the quality of service exceeded our expectations. Kevin and his uncle came out to plant 20 emerald green arborvitae trees along our driveway. They dug all the holes by hand, demonstrating incredible effort and precision. They even moved the excess dirt into a neat pile exactly where we requested. Once the job was done, they thoroughly cleaned up and even blew the driveway free of debris. We couldn't be happier with their professionalism and attention to detail. Highly recommend!"
Delaware River Jack stone filling in bare dirt areas. Forming a stone bed.
In this project, we transformed a bare dirt area by using Blue Ice stone in the corner. Along the patio border, we added Delaware River Jack to seamlessly connect the entire stone bed around the pool.

"Chris Space was the point man for the installation and was prompt, courteous and extremely helpful. Our lawn had been saturated from the rains and there was some damage during installation which was taken care of with no hassle. The system is running perfectly and they were great in the setup and "how to" department."

"Super great job. Patricio contacted me within minutes of my posting the job on Angie's, and was at my house providing an estimate within the hour. His price was very reasonable, and he and a small crew came out the next day and completed the job very quickly. I am extremely satisfied with the work performed and would recommend Patricio's Lawn Services to anyone who wants fast, well-priced service."

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

Buffalo grass starts to turn brown when encountering drought during the normal growing season. You can water the grass when you begin to notice some browning to prevent it from going dormant. Additionally, buffalo grass turns brown after the first freeze of late autumn or early winter, and this is a natural time for the grass to go dormant.

Yes! Fescue grass is a perennial that naturally regrows every spring. That’s why we recommend planting this grass variety in the spring to jump into the ideal growing and regrowing schedule. Keep in mind that fescue grasses thrive in cooler and transitional areas, so some species do best in moderate climates below 90 and above 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

The growth of tall fescue grass often causes clumps of grass in your lawn. Avoid pulling up the clumps, as it won’t effectively remove them. Instead, dig out clumps and their roots when you notice them early in the growing season. Herbicides can also treat grass clumps, but they can also affect other plants you might not want to kill, so use them sparingly and always follow manufacturer instructions.

Signs of an overwatered lawn can be visual, physical, or related to pests and weeds. Visually, the grass may appear yellow, wilted, patchy, or thin instead of green and lush. You might also notice the presence of mushrooms, other fungal growths, or an increase in weeds like crabgrass. Physically, the soil may be waterlogged, soggy, and perpetually damp. An overwatered lawn often feels mushy or makes a squishing sound underfoot, even several hours after watering. Additionally, you may see an increase in pests such as grubs. To prevent overwatering, ensure your lawn has proper drainage through periodic aeration and adjust your watering schedule to meet its actual needs.

Foxtail grasses grow annually, making their appearance in the first months of the year from January through April. They dry out by late spring, which is when they are the biggest threat to your pets. However, some of these pesky foxtail weeds are perennial and live for several seasons before dying out.
