"The Raven Termite and Pest Control team from Baltimore were outstanding. I called to schedule an appointment for inspection on Wednesday, the inspection occurred the next day on Thursday and the installation of the bird control hardware occurred on Tuesday. Carl and Kris were very professional, extremely competent and friendly. 5 stars Strongly recommend."

"Ed was very prompt and explained everything thoroughly. He set up a few traps in the attic sealed the holes where the squirrels were coming in and then came back a few days later and relocated the squirrels. He also did an excellent job fixing the holes in the ceiling where the squirrels had punched through. Excellent service"

"We had been looking to get our sun room floor redone ever since we moved into our house. The floors were a 70s vinyl that did not match the rest of the house. We wanted to extend the tile we had installed in our kitchen into the sun room, have a wall replaced, and a light fixture installed.
Kargmans gave us a very competitive quote; we had several companies provide us with estimate, however Kargmans was the easiest to work with. It was nice having a single point of contact in Erin to communicate with. We were scheduled within two weeks of the initial deposit and the installers were out as scheduled, and within the promised window.
We explained to the installers what we wanted done, reviewing the work order and design plans that we had agreed to with the initial contractor. The room had been a covered patio, with three sets of French doors. When we moved in, the patio had been enclosed, and all that remained were the door frames, with hinges and metal thresholds. We wanted those frames removed, and replaced with simple molding. Additionally, we wanted the sun room floor raised to match the level of the adjacent living room, and tiled in a pattern similar to our kitchen. Finally, we wanted one wall in the sun room replaced - originally it was the same material as the exterior of the house, and we wanted this replaced with dry wall.
Kargmans did a fantastic job with the room. The floors were installed and look wonderful, and the wall is a nice change from the cedar siding. They worked to resolve any issues that my wife and I had with the work. We asked them to finish off the wall along the top at the roof, and they installed a very nice molding that finishes up the room well. Additionally, there is a step up from the sun room to the kitchen that we wanted finished off nicely, and Kargmans was happy to help.
We also had Kargmans install a ceiling fan in our bedroom. The room was wired to have a light switch control an outlet, however, we wanted the light switch to control the ceiling fan that needed to be installed. The contractor came out, and we explained what needed to be done, and he set off to work. There were some minor communication issues that we were able to resolve with the help of Erin and the foreman. The contractor worked all day rewiring the room, and unfortunately, was not able to complete the work (while installing a ceiling fan seems like a straightforward task, the wiring in our house is a little weird), but came out the next day to finish the work.
Any issues that we did have were resolved immediately. After the sun room renovation was complete, we noticed that an outlet no longer worked, and that a light switch was not controlling a light. We mentioned these issues to Erin, she took note, and we had them both repaired.
Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the work Kargmans has done. Our only minor complaint was that of communication issues between us and the installers who came to the house. However, these issues were very quickly addressed and resolved with Erin and the foreman's help. We would recommend Kargmans to anyone looking for professional renovation work.

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Legal considerations include adherence to local and federal wildlife protection laws, particularly for species that might be protected or endangered.

Bird and bat pest control involves assessing the site, installing deterrents, sealing entry points, and, in some cases, safely removing infestations following regulatory guidelines.

You can take multiple approaches to keep animals out of your edible landscape. You can use natural repellents such as mint and cayenne pepper to deter them from your garden. You can also build a fence (or opt for a privet hedge) or keep the most enticing plants in a sectioned-off area. The most efficient method of keeping your four-legged guests at bay is to determine what animal it is and create a customized plan for them.

DIY treatments may help minor issues, but professionals provide long-term solutions and prevent recurrence.

Identifying the specific animal running on your roof at night can be challenging without direct observation. Common nocturnal roof visitors include raccoons, squirrels, opossums, and rats. Raccoons are bigger and can create heavy thumping sounds. Squirrels are agile and may produce rapid scurrying noises. Opossums tend to move stealthily with less noise. Rats can make scratching or gnawing sounds. To determine the culprit, look for signs like footprints, droppings, or damaged areas near the roof. For accurate identification, consult a pest control professional or set up wildlife cameras near potential entry points.
