"We were in a bind and needed a previously installed granite countertop in the kitchen modified. We had a new refrigerator, and the door wouldn't open all the way back, bumping against the door jam. We needed to have the granite cut back about an inch to remedy the problem ( slide the refrigerator over a little). The problem was, we were having a new tile backsplash installed the following day, and needed the granite cut before starting that job. I called Granite Vision, and asked them if they could perform it the same day. They were unsure if they could fit it in the same day, but told me they would check on the possibility.  I was called back in a timely manner, and told that they could do it for me.  David arrived within a few hours of my call, and did a beautiful job.  He was very nice, neat, and did exactly what we needed. "We had a great experience with Granite Works. We contracted our countertop work on July 28th. We feel very fortunate to have met Art. He is very professional and not a high pressure sales person.  He was more of a designer and he took us out to the slab yard helping us find slabs that matched our kitchen design and equally important budget.. We were able to use their sample cabinet materials and coordinate them with the slabs, colors, movement and patterns.  He advised us on the best cuts, edgings, care, etc. Once we selected the granite within a few minutes, Art presented us with an estimate on the spot.  We placed a 50% deposit and the next day the office assistance called us to schedule our on site template. The template process was easy and thorough. It is very helpful if you take your kitchen photos with you and your detailed measurements.  That way your estimate is accurate and Art can help you with balancing movement, appropriate area for seams, if any.  Granite works provided the granite, onsite measurements, sink options, bull nose edging and included all cut outs, plus an Angie's List discount. Our price was $2500 less than a company in  the Mt. Airy. Within a week we had a template completed, in two weeks the fabrication of 2 slabs, and the installation of occurred on  August 9th. In 1 day! We elected to forego their 4" backsplash option and we designed and installed our own. Art's design consultation was very helpful.  After we finished 1/2 the backsplash we sent Art a thank you email with a photo.  He was so surprised and we were surprised and happy 1) he remembered us, and 2) he liked our natural stone tile work.  We recommend Granite Works for quality, professionalism and price.  Good luck and thanks Angie's List.
