"Very professional staff...from the technicians who performed the install to the office staff. Both were very courteous and customer service focused. We had 3 quotes from company's (not including the one we got from Home Depot).
US granite was competitively priced and fast to install.
Great overall experience!"

"I received A+ service from Granite Works. I met Bruno Valente, one of the co-owners, on my first visit. He was very friendly and helpful, not pushy like some sales people. The slab I liked the best was marked sold.  In a follow up discussion with Bruno, my brother found out that the sister to that slab was available. Bruno gave it a rating of 11 on a scale of 1 to 10, and he was right.  Bruno held the slab for a few days until I could get there. Purchased it that day, and he held it for 5 months at no charge. Many companies my brother called on my behalf would not hold a slab longer than 30 days.
When my brother was visiting from out of town, they were kind enough to bring it out of storage so that he could see it.  That day, we met Art Rivera who spent considerable time with me us and provided invaluable advice about a new counter I was adding.  He also provided other design suggestions on the backsplash and paint color, which I followed with great results. That was an extra bonus I didn't expect. So, if Art gives you advice, you should definitely take it.
The templater, Glauber (hope this is the correct spelling), was extremely detail oriented and communicated well with my carpenter and his assistant. He made a suggestion for the end cap of the new counter and the handrail behind it that made it a true work of
art.  Gus Valente (co-owner), with assistance from Eduardo (stone cutter), did a great job of deciding what parts of the stone would go where in my kitchen and fireplace.  They have an amazing eye. I was so impressed by their finding parts of the slab in totally different areas that would best connect at the seams. The installers were terrific and that process went very smoothly. I have 2 seams that are barely noticeable.  Their work in the kitchen and my fireplace surround was impeccable.
Granite Works exceeded my expectations, and I'm very picky.  My counters are a work of art.

"I contacted Granite Vision and spoke with Roni, explaining that because the vanity was in an awkward place in this small bathroom, I needed help to decide what was required. Joseph and another member came within a couple of days to assess the situation, make recommendations, and take measurements. Joseph then emailed pictures of various granite slabs since I was unable to get to their site, and within a week his team installed the top, offset sink, and my faucet. Both their installer and plumber readily answered all questions. Also, because I have add'l bathroom remodeling to do, I asked Joseph for any recommendations he may have for providers with whom he's worked who do smaller jobs and are good. He did make some recommendations and responded quickly to any questions I had regarding these providers. I highly recommend Granite Vision not only for the quality of their product but also for their professionalism and support."

"I have an old cast iron bathtub that has begun to rust on the inside. Virginia Bathtub Refinishing stripped the old finish, removed all the rust, and reglazed the entire tub. It looks brand new. The job took about 3 hours to complete. The company was professional and did an excellent job. I paid $390 for the work."

"Remodel went great. Cornelio is very good about working with you to iron out all questions and issues. I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do and he helped me finalize and prepare for demo. He was very thorough and the entire project turned out great. Even had him do a couple side projects for my condo association while he was there. Those turned out great too. This is the second renovation I used CRG and both went great. The only warning I'll give is that whatever he tells you for length of time to complete the project, double it! Seriously, both times it took twice the amount of time estimated, but both times the final results were amazing. So as long as there are no time constraints, he is an excellent contractor"

"Two men came on time and finished sooner than projected.  Very pleased with the glazing of tub and tile.  The vanity top was finished and looks like new granite which covered faux marble.  It appears to look as all new construction, saving a lot of money simply by refinishing.  Friends are giving it big WOWs!!!

"Galaxy Remodeling was referred to us by the flood damage dmv team who took care of our flooded basement. David consulted us and gave us a wonderful visualization of what our basement could look like. We decided to take his recommendation and also renovate the bathroom and countertops and add custom cabinetry. We have had non stop compliments rolling in from our friends and family on social media of our new basement. Needless to say my wife and I are above satisfied."

Granite Restoration questions, answered by experts

The time required for stone restoration or polishing can range from a few hours to several days. Most standard jobs are completed in 4-8 hours. The final duration depends on factors like the size of the area, the condition of the stone, and accessibility. Larger areas or surfaces with heavy damage may require multiple sessions to complete.

Stone restoration and polishing enhance the beauty and longevity of stone surfaces by repairing damage and restoring their original shine and functionality.

In most cases, chipped or cracked granite can be salvaged, but it depends on the size and scope of the damage. For example, a pro can smooth out small chips on the edge with polish pads or an angle grinder, but a crack that runs through the stone's surface has little-to-no chance of being fixed easily.

Yes, you can repair a stone countertop yourself for minor issues like small chips or scratches, and DIY repair kits are available for this purpose. However, for larger problems such as major cracks or significant stains, DIY repairs may not be effective. In these cases, professional services are recommended to ensure a seamless finish, prevent further damage, and use the proper materials and techniques for a full restoration.

Some of the cheapest ways to change granite countertops without replacing them include painting, honing, or changing the finish, covering them with tile or laminate, and using countertop contact paper. Dollar for dollar, applying countertop film is the cheapest, easiest, and most reversible way to update the look of your countertops. No matter what you choose, remember that permanently marring the original countertops can cost you money when you’re trying to sell your home, so make smart choices and preserve the integrity of the granite.
