The work went fine. The only downside is that he lives several miles from us, and the distance can pose a problem in scheduling work. Also, the high price of gas is a factor in his pricing. Overall, he does an excellent job.

Jason (owner/operator) was very professional. He took the time to answer questions I had. He is the cheapest in the area. Very prompt, came on a Sunday! He made sure my furnace was working correctly and adjusted the efficiency and I can tell a big difference in the amount of coal needed to run my furnace. The cost was $75.00 and that included the inspection, cleaning it, and adjusting it. There's $1/mile and I live 10 miles away so my total bill was $85.00 and he was here for almost 3 hours. It took him about 2 hours to clean it and then he spent another 30-45 explaining things and answering my questions. Very personable and really knew what he was talking about

To begin with, John and Darrell showed up when they said they were going to show up--all three times! That itself is very telling, at least around here. Then, they were courteous gentlemen, cordial and friendly, and even like dogs and cats! When they installed the cement slab, the weather was very cold, but they waited and baby sat the cement so it could cure properly. They came back after dark to check it and spread straw. They had given us an estimate of, I think, $225, but they charged only $200. The second occasion, they repaired the hole in the wall, installed new tiles to replace the ones that had broken and installed a heavy duty grab bar, the price of which, as well as the price of the tiles, was included in their fee. While they were there, they installed a faucet and repaired two leaking faucets. That was all for the same $260 price. Today, the third occasion, they came and installed a water line for a new fridge and an outdoor hose bib. Again, it was very cold and snowy outdoors, but that did not seem to bother them. They checked the water lines thoroughly and, after finding a tiny leak, fixed that and checked again until everything was perfect. They also gave me, at my request, a lesson in using a stud finder as I am putting up some shelves on my own. They are so kind! They are very pleasant to have around but they keep working are very conscientious about doing jobs right. (They list ceramic tile, carpentry, masonry work, block laying, and concrete finishing on their business card, but they told me they do about anything. They are much more than "handymen," but they are the only folks that we have found that are willling to do some smaller jobs such as we have and really do them well.

He is very laid back, easy, and kind; but he seems to be knowledgeable. I know he is an electrician. He can do other kinds of stuff too. I wanted to call him again in November; but I got sick, so I couldn't call him. I am going to call him again.

Raymond was fast, efficient and very polite. It didn't take very long to .dig up and replace the water pipes from the meter and all through the house. Not only was his cost affordable, he would do other improvements that we would ask him to do without hesitation. I highly recommend his services.

This contractor gave the best estimate for repair that involved the most efficient solution to the problem. The base of a support column to my porch roof had rotted. Another contractor that I called for an estimate planned to replace both columns and would not give a definite price. Grace Built repaired the rotted base and it looked as good as new! The job was completed 2 days after the estimate was given. Very pleased

Appeared to be from the area, said they were licensed and insured (never produced). Walked around and gave bids for each job individually, wanting to start right away. We were told they would take about four days to complete and wanted to start right away. The deal was 1/3 upfront, middle and at completing (this too changed asking for advances to far into the jobs to hold back). Bids were soon increased due to different reasons. We were being worked on with other jobs and were not sure when they were coming or not, no call and no show was a norm. Personal calls, family problems were obstacles all the time and shortened their days, always gone by around 1:30 arrived late daily. The jobs slowly poked along, part of the small room to complete was to sand the floor and put some polyurethane down, they wanted to again increase the price on this and other finishing work. One morning the husband showed to try and straighten out the crown molding in the small room, they worked 1/2 day trying to do a miter cut which they could not figure out. The job was not complete, they needed a few hundred dollars and would return the next day and finish the painting and we refused to give any more money until the work was complete and to our satisfaction. This man sat out in his truck yelling up to our home, his wife who was his painter wanted more money to do the floor, It was scary and embarrassing in front of our neighbors. They never returned to this job and we are glad even though we lost money. Since then the sink in the cellar is leaking all the time, it took us a week to clean up the paint that overlapped colors, the mess made when the crown molding stain got all over the colored walls and needed repainting all in this tiny room. There are shingles (3) sliding down the roof. We were in a local department store last week and the wife was yelling across the store at us "You owe me money". This is when we decided to write to Angies List. We have learned a lot about hiring local Handymen to do anything, anymore
