"We have a slight hill at the end of our gravel driveway, which washed out pretty badly during the recent hurricane rains. I was looking for someone to repair this, and get us another year out of the gravel driveway before we have it paved. I called three different companies, and Bill Cooper was the one who gave me the best explanation of what needed to be done. He wasn't trying to push me towards an expensive new driveway, but rather gave me options to do it right. In the end, we covered the loose gravel with a milling base, which looks better and sets me up to pave the driveway in a year or so, when it has appropriately settled. I think Bill really knows his stuff, and I'm very happy with the way things turned out."

"I needed to remove a shower base/pan in the basement (on a concrete floor). Was going to do it myself, 'til I realized this shower base had been made using concrete (approx. 35 yrs ago). Wasn't sure where to go/who to use, and wound up coming to HomeAdvisor.com, who provided me w. the names of 2 companies/contractors who should be able to remove this concrete shower base. I contacted both contactors, but it was this contractor (Hernandez Stone Work) who followed through right away. My e-mail to him (Pedro) specifed that I'd like to get this done asap - and he was right there for me. Came to the house, that afternoon, to look at the project. Gave me a price quote (which was fine with me!), and his crew came to the house, 3 days later, and within 2 hrs, the concrete shower was gone! So was all the concrete debrie! I couldn't be more pleased! I was expecting a LOT of dust - and the dust is minimal. They did a terrific job - protecting the shower drain pipe, which was unharmed by the concrete removal - and a terrific price, too! What would have taken me probably 6 weeks to do, was accomplished within 2 hrs. Amazing! The crew was fast, hard-working, pleasant, professional... Seriously - I cannot say enough nice things about this group. I will use them again - soon. (Next project? Replacing our concrete driveway.)
