"Anthony got in touch with me immediately. H assured me the replacement cord was a quality product from Hunter Douglas which is the most quality company in window treatments.. The cords on my blinds had lasted 36 years. I had them repaired within the last few years and the work was inferior. Anthony repaired the cords in my kitchen, right there.. He told me the lock on one blind required replacement and he handled that for me expeditiously.. He was very pleasant, costumer friendly and I think he did outstanding work."

"The windows were manufactured earlier than we expected and we were promptly contacted about installation. Although we were told the installation was scheduled for two days, the four man crew that arrived was able to finish in a single day! Each window was installed with the same consistency in quality and efficiency. Furthermore, the crew did an excellent job protecting our floors and furnishings in every room. When it comes to evaluating the installation crew, we couldn't be happier. Regarding price, we probably paid more than we should, but that's on us. We advise getting several other quotes first and then get Castle's quote. This will definitely help in your negotiating. The windows have definitely helped to eliminate draftiness in our home and helped to maintain a consistent temperature."

"We had extremely slow draining shower, toilet and faucet; and the toilet would bubble when taking a shower.  At 6pm, I called up Mike to scheduled a time and he was able to have Ray at my door promptly at 7am the next day.  Ray used his pure awesomeness to diagnose the cause.  He called up Mike to work out a price and once we had an agreement - he started to work his magic.  Ray's diagnosis was spot on and removed a massive wad of rags.  He ran water in tub and sink to ensure proper drainage.  Ray installed the toilet and then flushed several times, ensuring proper drainage.  Once satisfied he cleaned up (probably cleaner than it initially was) and tied up loose ends.  In less than 90 minutes Ray was out to save the day for the next person in distress."

Window Treatments questions, answered by experts

The biggest disadvantages of low-E windows have to do with cost and, depending on your personal taste, appearance. Low-E windows cost more than traditional windows—typically between $300 and $1,000 per window, plus installation costs. Though they can save you money in the long run, low-E windows have a hefty upfront price tag. Additionally, low-E windows have a slightly different look than traditional windows. While some people don’t notice it, others say the low-E coating gives windows a hazy look.

In short, it depends. After 20 years, the glass in your windows is less energy efficient, which can cause increased electricity bills. You might also see signs of water damage or natural wear and tear over the years. However, with proper maintenance, some window frames can last up to 50 years, so you may only need to replace the glass to save on energy.

At the same time, window replacement is a major investment, so replacing the glass in rooms most impacted by outdoor temperatures is one way to avoid going all-in to replace your windows.

Costs depend on window size, type, material, and labor. Custom shapes or sizes typically incur higher expenses; full installation includes removing old windows.

Expect excavation below grade, creating a well for access, weatherproofing, and thorough inspections during setup.

Windows last between 15 and 30 years on average. The glass tends to last for around 20 years, while the frames last up to 50 years. This varies by the type of window frame material, glass quality, location, and level of maintenance. Wood frames have the shortest lifespan and require repainting or resealing every couple of years, while fiberglass has one of the longest lifespans.
