"We have built or renovated several residential homes projects, including commercial as well. We interviewed several architects, and found â Paul Parsoneaultâ to have the experience, professionalism and enthusiasm that we were looking for. â Paul Parsoneaultâ is a design/architecture consulting firm, and from the very first meeting through the final walk through, we had been thoroughly impressed with him. â Paul Parsoneaultâ showed the rare ability to quickly and fairly resolve any disputes, whether with ourselves, the city inspectors, County permitting departments, the Condo Association, suppliers, or the sub-contractors. All communications are timely and very professional, knowledgeable, organized and well-established in the field. Look no further you want to work with this team! I would (and already have) recommend â Paul Parsoneaultâ and his consulting firm to anyone who is facing any construction project."

"The table pads are very good. The template kit that they sent was easy to follow. The company called me to confirm details and made some recommendations to save us some money. The folks that I dealt with over the phone were very professional, helpful and pleasant."

"We contacted Mr. Barnes about redeeming our offer and he replied back promptly asking what type of work we wanted to have done and worked with us to accommodate our time frame. He showed up promptly for the job and after we showed him the site upon his arrival, he explained his thoughts and process for getting it done. He retrieved his materials from his truck and went to work measuring. He left only once for a proper amount of time for lunch and to go to a home improvement store for minor supplies and showed us a receipt for all materials. He then worked the allotted time professionally (no complaining tp us, loud radio etc) and only contacted us for our opinion on placement of the lights and to explain difficulty with our old 1950s electrical wiring. When he concluded that an electrical consult would be best, he had a man for the job right away who contacted us the next business day and came right out. When his contractor was at our house, he also came by and worked with him and us to finish the job that day.The entire job experience was very professional, prompt and courteous. In the end, we got just what we wanted and it looks great. Mr. Barnes is exactly what we were looking for."

A WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR! The process of decorating a home starts long before the first paint chip or piece of furniture is selected. It starts when we meet and begin the process of building a relationship based on understanding and trust. \n\nWhen Designer Direct Interiors arrives, so does the excitement of creating a space that is uniquely your own. Together we explore your likes and dislikes, your budget and time restrictions. Then we begin the process of "putting the pieces together" by developing a personalized master plan to assess your needs and prioritize your projects -- a blueprint for transforming your home or any part of it. \n\nFrom the comfort of your home we will provide expert guidance on colors, materials, textures, finishes and furniture to arrive at the perfect solution. We will work with you to create a design that will meet your emotional, functional and financial needs. \n\nWe offer a complete product line, from window coverings, custom bedding, floor and wall coverings, upholstery and fine furniture to lighting and accessories, that accommodate any style or need. Our service is all-inclusive -- from design, to product selection, through final installation. And, unlike a store, we're not limited to specific products or manufacturers.\n\nSo go ahead and imagine the possibilities. Whether the goal is a custom window treatment, a re-oriented room or a whole new interior environment for your entire house, you can sit back and relax while we bring the showroom to you. \n\nComplmentary in-home design services.

Residential Design questions, answered by experts

Dark academia is more of an interior decorating style than it is a type of architecture, but it calls on themes prevalent in gothic architecture. Part of the appeal of dark academia is that you can achieve the look and feel without renovating or remodeling your home. Instead, you can switch to a dark color palette and introduce metal, natural wood furniture, plaid decor, old books, and gothic decor to get the look and feel just right.

No, space planning is not only relevant for new spaces. With the help of a professional architect, you can still create a space plan for an existing space.

The process typically takes 2-6 weeks, depending on the project size and level of customization.

Regular meetings, reviewing drafts, and providing input on materials help align the project with your vision.

Most interior designers have at least a four-year degree, if not an advanced degree in interior design. Additionally, many states require interior designers to be licensed. If your state does not require licensing, interior designers can take a licensing exam with the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). Overall, licensing requirements vary from state to state, but most licenses require certain education levels and experience to qualify. To check the qualifications of your interior designer, use Angi’s state licensing tool.
